Ray's Food Place reviews
17I grabbed a few things for dinner. I never really shop at Ray's. It's too expensive. You'll do better going into medford.
It is a very small store. Isle's are compact, narrow and not able to have a greater selection compared to the sister store in Phoenix, Oregon that is 5 miles away. Pricing is anywhere from 0 - 45% higher then the major competitors
Our hometown grocery store and I am glad they are here. Friendly people quaint store. Easy location. Chris and Sheri there rock!
Usually short staffed so the lines are long and almost every product is OVERPRICED compared to every other supermarket.
Better off going to Fred Meyer's at least they have affordable organic food and meat and canned goods. Oh and they don't make you break your paper bags on the way out the door because Ray's employee's love to over stuff the bags with heavy items. This place is a joke. All you pay for is convenience not even quality more than half the time. Not to mention the customer service by the cashiers. Always so moody because they bring their drama to work.
I wish they would carry more organic food here. I keep trying to go into this store in hopes of not needing to drive to Ashland, but 9 out of 10 times I literally just waste my time driving here. Whoever the ordering manager is there, they need to step up their game. If you can go somewhere else, do and save yourself the trouble of only being able to find about half of what you need, in substitutions.
This place is a disgrace. Rotten food in the meat section and in the produce section. I have pics but I can’t add them.
Ray's food places a good place to shop they got Christmas trees and pumpkins and all the holiday things that you need
Good local grocery store, they have expanded their organic section too. Glad to have them in the area.
Dirtiest deli I've ever seen. I observed deli clerks help customers without washing their hands after coming in from a smoke break. Also their cappuccino machine is filthy and so clogged that no water could come thru. If it wasn't the only store in town I would never be back.
Local grocery store. Great place. This is not a huge chain store. Ray's is known for being part of the community. Have great employees. Highly recommend this store. If they do not have it let them know and they will get it.
The satellite store in Talent is more expensive than race in Phoenix. That I like the Paisans in the Phoenix store and we used to know each other and they always oblige.
They've remodeled the store so it's visually pleasing. As always, as a small local store, they've always been more expensive. I, however, do like the bbq they have
Ugh. TARKS was imperfect but they had a better small town product.
This place/ chain is way too cutesy and costly for these poor towns in So Oregon. Terrible.
The last time I visited a 11 year old ran into me full speed, no one even reacted or stopped the unaccompanied minors from raising hell in the store.
Fine for a quick stop, watch for children.
I call it rip off Ray's. Something you can get a WinCo for. 98 and at Ray's the same thing will cost 3.89.
Lived in talent for going on 3 years. I have to drive to the rays in phoenix to make sure i don't get sick shopping at the talent rays. Dozens of expired products, Bare shelves, horrible deli, coolers not at legal cold holding temps. In addition to the horror stories I have experienced and herd from customers, local suppliers have told me the buy backs from the talent Ray's have been time and temperature abused. To the point of mold on products weeks before the exp.date. I have pointed these blaring lawsuits wating to happen out to the general manager, "Norm"? On a bi-weelky basis for years on end. No results. I partly blame the district manager as well. As a purveor and food service professional, I am appalud at the lack of standards from one store to another. The phoenix ray's is a completely different store. They dont run out of staple items like milk, coleslaw, coca cola, butter, sour cream. I cant smell the deli before I see it, there isnt 6 month out of date canned seafood on the shelves. I watched Norm himself take frozen pizzas out of a cooler during a 3 for 10 dollar sale and place them in an endcap. No refregeration. At all. When I questioned him about it, he said- "its fine, we switch them out". I was floored. The GM of the store has no idea of basic food safety. Avoid this ray's at all cost folks. Youve got a 50/50 chance of serious food poisining just by shopping there. Don't do it.
