Reptile Store Reptopia reviews
15Reptopia gave me one of the coolest experiences of my life! I stopped in to finally check out this place and and it was well-stocked with everything including frogs, snakes, lizzards, tanks… But then I got to wear the biggest snake I’ve ever touched! Awesomeness!
Not a coincidence. This is the second time this year that my Dragon, Goldie has had her expensive heat lamp just fall apart in less than 6 months. That's 2 large heat lamp bulbs gone, the same way.
Yes, this is the best reptile store ever but after buying bulbs from them I'm now convinced they're sabotaging them.
In fact they charge double what Amazon does for the same bulb.
Sad that I'm shopping elsewhere instead of local but I don't believe in coincidences.
We love these guys. Great business, good prices, and care a lot about their animals. Highly recommend.
This is my go-to for supplies and rats for my boi! They're super knowledgeable, friendly, and they always show me a new reptile every time I'm in! These guys are great
Reptopia is amazing! Most "pet stores" are all in it for the money. These guys actually care about where their animals end up.
My husband and I drove from Portland to check this place out today. This is probably the best reptile store I've ever been to. The reptiles are looked super healthy and were in nice enclosures. They also had a lot of stuff that you wouldn't normally see, like Leachies. They require proof of set up for animal purchases, which is amazing. Everything is priced really fairy and they have huge selection of supplies. I will gladly drive over an hour to shop here for all of my reptiles!
Best place in Albany to support your reptiles and amphibians. Better feeders, more dedicated supplies and animals that kept well and in healthy conditions. True, the may not have the most niche product you're looking for, but the staff can almost always point out a cheaper and better suited product. Just wish they had more parking.
Love this place.small family run reptile rescue and retailer. Very polite and knowledgeable. I have been here several times for multiple reasons and will continue to give them my business whenever possible.
This small business is an excellent reptile store. I ended up with a rescue bearded dragon from some folks who were moving out of state. They gave me resources and good info that no big chain pet store could. The staff is always friendly and happy to help. The feeder selection is also good. They do great work with rescuing and care!
Awesome place to shop and get knowledgeable information for your reptiles. Staff is friendly and helpful… and always willing to go above and beyond…. Thank you
Awesome prices and amazing customer service. When my son was given a tortoise by a family member just over 3 years ago, we had absolutely nothing (and no idea what we were doing). I went into the store, and they loaded me with advice, suggested products, and directed me on how to save money on my set up (some of which included buying things from another store). When my light fixture had a problem about a year ago, I took it in for advice and they fixed it for me. Skip Petco and talk to the experts.
I'd love to hear where the single negative reviewer has seen a better reptile store, cuz there just isn't one. They all keep the animals in tanks. They all have that reptile smell. This is, hands down, the best shop around and any experienced reptile owner will tell you that. Their cleanliness and ethics go above and beyond and are a perfect example of what other shops in the area should aspire to.
Our first visit, but not our last! We got to see some amazing creatures and our kids are learning about reptile care as well as the cost of care of reptiles We wanted to take them some place other than big box pet stores. This was the place! So grateful for their kindness and the reptiles we were able to see! Highly recommend and recommend donating to the care of their rescues and reptiles!
I'm shocked by the positive reviews for this place. While their dry goods and feeder selection is great and much better than any chain store, their animal care is really concerning. The enclosures are disgusting and I am worried about the animals health. The state of the tanks is just absolutely unacceptable for a reptile specialty store. There is something fishy going on here because they have all this weird signage about federal agents not being welcome. Perhaps they have had people checking on their animals well being in the past?
