Awesome people and they have no problem giving knowledge about the very work they do. Absolutely great people.

Had a Volvo, now I have a BMW 335d, diesel. Only place I trust in town! Been doing business with Larry for years. Justin is very very knowledgeable about my car and goes the extra mile for his customers, making sure they leave pleased also is a extremely hard worker.

Larry is such a knowledgeable and experienced Volvo mechanic. Sorted me out with what I needed, put my mind at ease about what I didn't need. Top guy.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Not worth the money or the hassle. I took my car here to get a recommended service that was recommended by the owner. When booking the appointment I communicated the issue again, but when picking it up I asked if it was fixed and the staff had no idea it had an issue. The service made it worse. They did not make this right. Take your car somewhere else.

The "check engine" light turned on during a drive in a Mercedes from So Cal to Portland, and close to Grants Pass the car became stuck in "limp mode" (second gear). Larry was able to make time to see us a couple hours after we called. We made it clear that we were not trying to fix the engine problems, other than get it out of limp mode, because we were so close to home that we just wanted to get it to the mechanic in Portland. Larry did just that, gave us some documents to give to the Portland mechanic, and we felt confident driving it home that day.

COVID-wise, Grants Pass was a scary place to be - while most establishments had signs encouraging masks, I seldom saw workers (and even more rarely patrons) in masks. Larry wore a mask for some (not all) of the indoor interaction.

I was traveling cross country a few weeks ago. Well traveling through Oregon, I had seized AC compressor. Due to the organization of my engine, this resulted in the car failing to start. I called nearly every auto shop in the area and none of them but Revolvo West was able to get me in within a reasonable time.

Although Revolvo West was able to get me in and repair my car, I also felt like they charged a premium for this. It ended up costing me nearly $1,100 in repairs and $300 in additional costs due to hotels. Additionally, I was originally quoted for $800, but because the owner did not let me fully explain the problem and what I had noticed, they went down a rabbit hole with the starter, battery, etc. They ended up charging me for the labor costs related to this as well. I would advise caution when using this repair shop. Although you may get the repair needed to get you back on the road, you will pay a premium for it.

Passing through Grants Pass, the "low engine coolant" light in my Volvo came on. A quick peek under the car and an internet search convinced me that this was a Serious Problem - 300 miles from home!
Okay. Who can help 10 minutes before closing time?
Larry at Revolvo West answered the phone and confidently assured me he could and would get me back on the road the following morning.
By 1: 00 the very next afternoon I was on the road again with a brand new radiator!
I could not believe my luck in finding a knowledgeable mechanic with the correct part on hand who was willing to respond to my emergency repair. Equally impressive was the fact that I, just passing through, was not taken advantage of. The repair cost was quite reasonable and could have been a lot higher.
Larry makes me want to go back to Grants Pass just fir my regular service - I'd be a life long customer!

I will agree with the other reviewer’s on here, Larry will rip you off. He screwed me over so bad on a repair job that I ended up leaving the car with him and giving him the title. He screwed a single parent out of their only means of transportation. What a scum bag.

DO NOT recommend this business to anyone! They are continually over priced, with ALL services. Had them pull a part for my vehicle, and they charged me a whopping $75 more than it was worth. Unfortunately the owner wasn't there in the office to barter with me on the price, he left a lady in his office to do so. Brought my partner in to pick up part, the owner is aware he is a mechanic, and I assume he wasn't in the office because of that reason. Will I ever return to Revolvo West? No, absolutely not. Beyond that pick and pull part, I have been charged quite a lot for jobs that could've taken less time. My radiator installation costed me around $800. I had my alternator replaced for $600. When my timing belt went out, I called around the area to find the best price on fixing it. Revolvo West was more expensive than a dealership, the timing belt installation was $800, not including the part cost. Went to Rick at AutoPro on Redwood Ave, he fixed it for $280. Not to mention the number of times I've called to ask for help with certain parts and or advice on what's the most cost effective plan to fix my vehicle. The man who owns this business, Larry, is the stereotypical greedy car guy who is only looking to make a quick buck off your cars issues. I am also a woman, and have taken in men with me just so I do not receive poor and or incorrect treatment due to not being well versed in cars. My current partner is a mechanic, and has expressed to me that every job I had preformed by Revolvo West was over priced and done slowly on purpose. It should not take 8 hours to remove my radiator, I watched my partner do it in a couple hours. I could do it in less time, and I am not skilled in this trade. My anger and frustration towards this business is unending, and every time I go to them for car help I am met with extreme prices and sexist service. Because I am a woman, I am repeatedly screwed by the owner Larry. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone, ever. Infact if you are looking to get your car worked on by a very kind, generous, dependable person go to AutoPro on Redwood Ave. The man who owns this business is named Rick, and he does wonderful work for a great price. He is NOT looking to screw your pocket, instead is very much aware that cars are expensive and looking to serve your car needs with a high level of consumer consideration. Never will I ever, go to Revolvo West again, and get screwed by greedy business owners. Larry you get so much business, and your hourly rate is $90. Don't you think you would be a bit more generous and kind to your customers, or is it all about making the most money off of desperate people?

So, you typically don't respond to reviews, hm. The comment you made about trusting the source is quite rude, as these people do not know me. All of the negative reviews have the exact same response, which is not taking any accountability for attempting to rip people off. Yes, I am young, but well educated and quite experienced in terms of fixing cars. I am dating a mechanic, my step father is a mechanic, and also my two of my brothers fix their own vehicles. Its quite interesting how you've expressed that your customers are intelligent enough to know which source to trust, and yet all of the negative reviews clearly explain why they did not feel your service was adequate for the price and stress it caused them. Now, I understand being a small business owner can be difficult and that you would rely on reviews to help manage the image of your business. So, treating your unhappy customers like they're are bad sources, because they expressed poor service is a bit ridiculous. On a real note and I might be wrong, that you decided to respond to the negative reviews because it is effecting your business. If your business ethics effect your customers, that is NOT their responsibility, its yours. I am quite irritated by the sheer lack of responsibility on your behalf. Not to mention you refused service to my partner, because of my review, which was honest and well explained. Seems a bit shady to me.

As a Mercedes owner I've done business with Revolvo for many years. I trust Larry, the owner, and his mechanics have never let me down.

Greedy liars. Went to get my headlights fixed, they tried to charge me $120 more than it ever should have been. They Said a part was broken that connects the headlights, and to bring it back in two days when they got the part. They were also trying to replace both sides even though one side worked perfectly fine. I came in with one working headlight, and for some reason they took the one working bulb out. That night I went to drive home from work, which is way up a country road, and neither headlight worked. I had to sleep in my car with no blankets at the job site. After it was “fixed”, my brights no longer worked, and a different mechanic said I have to pay quite a bit to get my high beams working again. They also “fixed” my window which was falling through the door, a week later it broke again and they wanted to charge me full price to fix their mistake. They just jimmy rigged it, they didn’t actually put the new part in that I paid for. A complete joke of a shop
