I happened to come across Sarah’s story online as to her “why” for getting into the profession. Her story touched me, and I immediately reached out to her. Literally the next day, she was sitting in my parent’s living room with my parents and me, explaining how things worked. Fast forward two months when my father developed an infection in his knee/bloodstream that landed him 11 days in the hospital and over five weeks in a rehabilitation center. There is NO way I could have navigated this entire process without her! Her selfless service, while visiting her own family, was and is beyond anything I could have ever asked for.
