This company should not be allowed to steal your car and then charge $450 cash to tow your car a couple miles. This should be illegal. This is straight highway robbery. Totally ruined my birthday. Greedy bottom feeders that do nothing good for society.

Can someone take this company to court / get it shut down already. These people are literal scum

Parked my car in my own apartment community and they towed it overnight. $450 for not even 24 hours of them having my vehicle. People make sure you always have proof of ownership OUTSIDE of your vehicle so you can show them when you arrive to pick up your car. Don't be late to your pickup appointment or they can charge you a fee. Also, if you don't have proof of ownership outside of your car, say that you have medication in your glove box so you can grab your "medicine" and just grab the title and say you guess your meds aren't in there. Towing companies are the worst. Always taking advantage of people. Also ask for an itemized receipt and photo proof of tow to see if you can fight the charge later!

They deserve a zero. Yes my husband parked my car in the wrong spot and without a doubt we take responsibility but their customer service is a joke. They insisted we had to make an appointment to retrieve the car. They were an hour late with no apology or a heads up even though they had my number to reach me. When I asked for a discount for the inconvenience they said there was nothing they could do. I gave them the 450 cash they charged AND my ID with no hesitation and they would not release my car because we did not have proof of registration. Again, totally on us. I pushed back a little but he wasn't budging so I said I would go back to get proof of ownership and I asked for my ID and cash back and he refused. THEY called the police which seemed like an odd move considering they had my car, my money AND my ID. When the cops arrived they were rolling their eyes and laughing because I was trying to take MY car back that I had already paid the fine for. They assured him I was the owner because obviously they ran my plates but the truck driver and the owner of the company who was on the phone refused to release my car. It was absurd. Clearly it was some type of power trip. The police did tell me on the side that these businesses have horrible ethics and business practices and this particular business was no exception. They even lied about the prices. They said the state fixes the prices but there was another lady with a much bigger car who said this was the fourth time they towed her car and they only charged her 250. They released the car but with the condition that they would charge me $2 per min since the police got there even though they wasted MY time. I suppose we can hash that in civil court. This is a horrible business that doesn't know how to do business right. Kiara and the tow man were extremely unprofessional and do not know how to run a business properly. No wonder they are in THIS business. Get an education and a real career. Complete LOSERS. The owner should grow a pair and be the face of the company instead of paying other scumbags to do his dirty work. I asked for the owners number and they refused to give it to me.

P. S Shout out to Tigard PD who were on-site almost immediately and did a great job of mediating the situation. As a woman of color I felt heard and respected by them.

Called for Budget Rental Roadside Service. Driver solved our issue without a tow so there was no charge, even though I offered to pay. Highly recommended.

Illegally towed my car from one side apartment to the other and totaled my front end I have pictures and proof contacted consumer complaint through the state of Oregon and filled complaint and contacted the city of Portland. I will handle this legally, unlike this business.

Worst business ever. If I can right 0 I’d put -10. Towing my car for being in a spot you can legally park at? Charging $450 to get it back and it goes up $50 a day. Y’all rob people of your money.

PREDATORY TOWING. Charged $450! Our car was parked there for less than an hour and the sign was way in the back under a bunch of branches. Cash only but still doesn’t have the decency to provide actual change, just $50 one dollar bills.

Towed my car when visiting my friend. It was midnight, so too late to get a parking pass, but I've never even seen a sign at the complex. They want 450 cash only and appt only for pick up, but it has to be picked up within an hour of making the appt and they up charge if you're late and refuse to give you an address for another lot they have before confirming your appt time so you don't even get to anticipate drive time, traffic time, etc.

This is a weird place to leave a five star review, but I dealt with a man named James who is very helpful and very friendly who is able to help resolve all of my issues

I was parked a friends apartment didn't see any signs. I did when I walked out under tree branches! Hard to see and they didn't even have it off the tow truck wanted 450! These people are horrible my son's car seat was in it and because I wasn't the registered owner I couldn't get it out!?

They are the reason why I will not be renewing my lease at my apartment and why people never want to park at my complex. Two times in a row, different cars, predatory towing, both guests had passes in uncovered spots, as instructed by leasing office. Absolute nonsense- they demanded $450 cash, for literally no reason. This is theft, this is against violations and if things do not clear up soon I will be pursuing legal action. Thanks.

They towed my vehicle and as others have indicated, they did so illegally. There are laws. I filed a complaint with Oregon's Consumer Protection Agency and the City of Portland. I also was very clear with River City with all the ways they had towed my car illegally. They ended up towing my vehicle back to where it had been towed from at no cost to me.they can be fined up to $750 for an illegal tow. There are ways to fight injustice rather than just writing a bad review and calling them predatory.it was a vehicle I don't typically drive so it wasn't an urgent matter. I realize not everybody has the luxury of time, but rather than just pay what they are asking and complain.fight back. If they are in the wrong, they are in the wrong.

They're so shady they tow the car within 2 hours of it being parked in a spot that shouldn't even have been towed and charged me 568 to get it out for 2 days Shady company don't deal with them

These people are the worst. I was parked for maybe an hour at my friends apartment I stayed longer than anticipated. When I called the lady on the phone had to call me back because suspiciously her computer wasn’t working. They towed my car and made me pay 450 cash. The lady on the phone never said to me that it was cash and this happened at 10 almost 11 pm the day before thanksgiving. 11/23/22 And when I read my receipt they said I got my car at 1: 20am 11/24/22 when that is a compete lie. These people are horrible and deserve to be shut down. They screw people over big time!

They are daylight robbery and extortion racket with towing license (if any). They towed a guest's car at 1 am in the morning at my place within 20 minutes of parking. This is for an open for all spot in a location which already has a different legitimate towing company assigned. They demanded cash only payment, and also became aggressive when questions were asked. If someone with a tow truck took your car from your home and held it for cash only ransom, they would be thrown in jail. How they are still roaming free is beyond me!
