Riverwalk Restaurant reviews
15 Great breakfast spot with sizable portions at a great price. The half order of biscuits & gravy came with one biscuit, one egg and meat of your choice. The gravy was excellent with tons of seasoning & flavor.
Service was excellent as well and considering how busy they were the food came out quickly.
We had searched online what time the restaurant closed and it had said till 2. We arrived at 11. However once we got there we were seated, handed menus, offered coffee, and given utensils. A few moments later a gentlemen came up to us saying we had to leave because there was no more food left whatsoever. They took our menus immediately with no remorse and walked away. It was handled very unprofessionally. I understand when kitchens run out of food, however if it was an accident in seating us and right before ordering kicking us out, there could've been at least some communication of apologies. It was a very rude encounter. I would recommend more professional communication skills when instances like that happen and new customers come in.
Service was amazing, food was outstanding! Prices were low considering how great everything was, will definitely be coming back
Delicious! And just the right amount. Sometimes they give you so much that you feel sick and/or wasteful by the end of it. Not here. I feel great.
Having a girls weekend! Thought the name was so cute, so we decided to go try it out. Riverwalk Restaurant from the moment we walk in worker was rude. No greeting, and as we head to the table our waiter passed us and was like there goes my break. I guess because we sat at his table. As I am standing at the table taking back by our welcome, he squeezed between my friend and I and tossed the menus and silverware on the table. We looked at each other, got up and was like how rude let's go somewhere else. Ended up at the food court and so glad. Cosmic Charles Cheeze shack.they were energy welcoming and the food was phenomenal! I will be craving their grill cheeze special and cheeze soup! Thanks Cosmic Charlie for a great morning! Don't waist your time at
Customer service was horrible. There was no greeting. The greeting we got was "well there goes my break" the guy was super rude if I could give a 0 stars I would
Classic, incredible little diner on the pier. Their menu is small but every.single.offering is so tasty and made with care and you can taste it; the hash browns especially were my favorite and I’d be hard pressed to find better elsewhere.
Owner and crew are so friendly and welcoming-it’s an all hands on deck operation and you instantly feel welcomed in and part of the little community. Will be stopping in again next time we’re in Astoria!
Thank you so much!
We walked in this morning and were greeted with, ” There goes my break”. Then the cook? Pointed at the tables and walked away. We sat down and the cook tossed some utensils and menus on the table and walked away. We decided this restaurant didnt deserve our business. So we walked down the street to Cosmic Charlies Cheezeshack where the customer service and food seemed so much better.
The food was surprisingly good based on the atmosphere
Friendly and funny employees
Short wait time
And AMAZING PANCAKES
Overall, 4/5
The food was so good. Some of the best sausage links and country fried steak I've ever had. Or server was a little grumpy but he said they'd been slammed since 7: 30 so that's understandable. The location is not the greatest but it's great if you want to eat and then shop. The prices are surprisingly low. I will come back often.
We weren't sure about this place walking in as it was not very well lit or decorated. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. We ordered an omelet, pancakes, hash browns, toast, and coffee. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. Coffee could be hotter. Loved the homestyle cooking - it was so light and healthy for a breakfast. Will definitely go back.
Best breakfast in Astoria by a league at least, best biscuits and gravy I have had anywhere.
The two staff got into a loud argument, yelling across the restaurant. Our server slammed his tray of drinks on our table and spilled my coffee. Then he yelled back at the other man while he served our drinks. The other man came to take our orders and seemed to be quite upset still. There was palpable tension through the tiny restaurant. The fight made our time there very uncomfortable.
Food was good. Coffee was bad. Wait was long. I won't be going back.
Great spot for a delicious meal. It was a bit hard to find, as it’s sort of inside an antique shop. There were a few tables in the hallway, which is where I sat. Staff was friendly and the prices were great. Bacon was crispy, French toast was awesome and coffee was excellent!
We waited over 30 mins for our food. Only 3 people in the restaurant! Our food was awful! Ham was so grissely I couldn't eat it. Pancakes were cold like they had been sitting out awile. Coffee was not Starbucks as advertised. Will not return! When food came, they brought the bill immediately!
