Roaring River County Park reviews
7Picnic area was clean and they had both outhouse style bathroom and flush bathroom on the premises.
Great place for the whole family. Plenty of trails along the river and pavilions with BBQ pits. There are also some horseshoe pits for a little recreational activities. Fall is a great time for the fall colors that come into play at this time of the year. The care takers of the park do a fine job to keep the beauty of the park in tact.
Frog pond completely overgrown with cattails and pond brush, can no longer see any tadpoles or frogs as you could 3-4 years ago. Half the trail was blocked off, lots of people camping and fishing along the entirety of the shoreline. RIP childhood memories
Pretty great water. Feels very smooth and natural. However in the parts that are deep enough to really swim, the water gets kind of mucky and gross unfortunately. Not in a wimpy way but in a "full of water life and sticks" way. Didn't stop me from floating though! There's a lot of different spots here. The dogs loved it, as well as meeting the rangers dog, who is nice! The ranger was busy-busy though! Parking is wonderful as well and it's a bit too far out to really get too packed unless there's an event!
Great place for a quiet walk. The trail is a little muddy still so put on your hikers bring a lunch and enjoy.
Serene walks for those needing to breathe in fresh air in a beautiful well kept park.
Went metal detecting found some cool finds, we were the only ones there. A nice hangout spot in the summer for sure
