Rocky Butte Natural Area, Portland OR

Went to see the super blue moon with several hundred others who had the same inspired idea. Other than parking being limited, it was really classic. The view is superior any time, but add in the special moon and it turns a good destination into a great one!

Beautiful park, I’ve visited with my dog a couple of times, and you do have to be very careful about walking toward the bottom, paved area as there’s always broken glass around. I’ve also seen some broken glass in the grass, so wouldn’t recommend letting your dog off-leash here.

A fantastic place to see sunset.
I'm sure it's a great place for sunrise. However, I haven't been able to get there for it.

Beautiful vista. Fun to look out over the areas that we traveled to today. Love seeing the planes on their descent in to the airport.

Nice place to visit though nothing much but strategically located to the best view of Portland city, airport, flyover, fantastic view of sunset and sunrise, best view if both mt hood and mt Rainier all at one place, strongly recommended

One of the best views in all of Portland. They need to fix the dial that points out the landmarks though. It's been vandalized.

This was one of the first places I visited 14 yrs ago as a visitor to Portland. It's always a site to see, on a sunny day a special treat for how far you can see. I bring all my out of town guest here.

Sunrise and Sunsets are beautiful from this place.

Great view! Got to see an airplane parellel with the height which was pretty neat. Unfortunately there’s a decent amount of vandalism.

Natural area and has an Excellent view. To walk with the family and here wedding photos are taken and 15 more years through the landscapes.

Go here quite a bit. Awesome use of the old prison. You can climb the picturesque stairs to view the greenery inside as well as take in the view of the City!

This is a cute park. We didn’t visit on a clear day, but the views look like they would be spectacular on a clear day. The park also has amazing spots for the portrait photographer. Unfortunately there is a lot of broken glass on the ground in the parking area.
