Rogue River Gorge Falls reviews
7Never seen such a powerful river and the lava tubes were very cool to see.
Great little stop off with 4 fenced viewpoints pointing out lava tubes and a living stump. Nice short walk for little kids. Also has toilets!
An impressive geologic feature to see on your way to Crater Lake. The Rogue River is compressed down to a narrow, swiftly flowing channel in a collapsed lava tube, making powerful and dynamic rapids that you can see from the trail and lookout points above. It's a short paved walk from the parking lot to the gorge, and there are informational signs scattered around as well. We always stop here on our road trips!
I've always loved this area, always beautiful in any weather situation, just peaceful. But according to their signs, now you should care a side arm to protect yourself from wildlife, lol
A beautiful spot on the upper Rogue River. Restrooms at the parking lot and an asphalt path leading to several overlooks of the gorge. Look for the "pot holes" at the upstream end of the gorge. Amazing what a pebble and flowing water can do over time.
So beautiful! Be sure to walk the whole walk way to get the best view of the beginning of the falls.
Beautiful to see how the river has bored holes in all the rock strata of the river bed. And the sound is quite impressive. And very calming.
