Ron Tonkin Chevrolet, Portland OR

Two weeks ago I bought a used VW Jetta from Ron Tonkin Chevy. I was very excited about this purchase but feel I was mislead. This week the car's battery died and the light bulb and check engine light are on as well. I will not be returning to Ron Tonkin nor recommending this dealership to anyone else.

Staff was professional, supportive and attentive. Although I was surprised when I retrieved my vehicle and the check engine light was still on.

We had a wonderful experience purchasing our car with Archie at Tomkin Chevrolet. Archie was very knowledgeable and personable from start to finish. Would recommend him for any car purchase.

Hannah is vary knowledgeable about the Chevy Bolt. She was able to answer all my questions and helped me setup my vehicle. I would recommend Ron Tonkin and Hannah to anyone interested in purchasing a New Vehicle.

Updating this…I purchased a used vehicle in which I had to stop on my way home to purchase new wiper blades. In less than 4k miles I had to get new brakes, pads, and rotors, and I just pulled my cabin air filter to discover that it was so clogged I had to physically pull debris from the vents. I called to get a copy of the warranty I purchased and still have not received that so that I can take advantage of something I’m paying for. Would not advise purchasing a used vehicle from them without physically inspecting yourself. My trust is gone and will never again give them my business.

We were on a road trip and got a screw in our tire. The service department got us in and out. Thanks for the great customer service - we would recommend Ron Tonkin Chevrolet to anyone. Thanks!

Brought our car in for basic servicing (tire rotation, bug fluid, etc) and all went exceedingly well. No complaints.

Not the best place to take. An older Chevy mechanics are not very knowledgeable and they don’t want to hold up their work and stand by their word when they should because it’s a Chevy dealership very unsatisfied.

Samantha was amazing and helping me get my truck turned around quick during a cross-country road trip. I have a young family and we were stranded, and she went above and beyond to get me turned around and just one day for DPF / Injector issue. The staff was nice, facility is clean. However on my service I was told I would get an oil change, inspection including tire rotation. They did not rotate my tires. I had been warned they did that so I marked my tire before I went in. Guess what all still in the same spot. So beware!
