VERY happy! I don't write many reviews, but I had a really good experience here. Driver's side front wheel to my well-cared for '09 Forester started making a terrible noise. I took it here based on other reviews noting the shop's honesty. I've been servicing my Forester at a local dealership, but always feel like I'm being upsold on maintenance and repairs. When I called, someone picked up right away and told me that if I dropped it off in the AM, they could diagnose it that afternoon. When I dropped it off, they promised the same timeline. They called less than 2 hours later telling me to come pick up my vehicle. It turned out to be a pebble stuck behind the backplate. *Phew* I expected to pay something for labor because they had to put it on the lift and do some disassembly to get to the stone. But they didn't want to charge me. Instead, they just asked that I come back in the future. They didn't "find" any other problems or other nonsense. This was the total opposite! Our household will be bringing our vehicles to this shop in the future.

Overhauled front suspension on my 06 Chrysler 300C. Came highly recommended from friends into restomods and show cars. Robert was a man of his word on both time and cost. Actually came in below original estimate. Car rides and drives as good or better as it did brand new! Highly recommended!

Top Notch! Took my van to 2 other places for clunking noises over bumps from the front suspension.
Ron's took the time to look everything over tighten things up and replaced rubber parts that had worn out for sway bars - a detail the other shops had missed. Ive taken a couple vehicles here when I needed front end experts to work on my vehicles to solve a problem. Always get the job done at a reasonable price.

Kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. That’s how I’d describe the folks at Ron’s. I’ve never had a subpar experience. Definitely would recommend!

Great shop. They were honest when my steering components needed replacement prior to an alignment, saving me money and my tires from uneven wear! They also were not fussed about my getting a needed steering repair done elsewhere then coming back to them for a check of the work + realignment. Honest, fairly priced and friendly.

My Mazda 3 started to have an intermittent "clunk" sound coming from the front suspension. I watched ~20 YouTubes and spent 4, one hour sesions with the car on jack stands trying to track this down on my own before I gave up. I made an appointment, dropped the car off and went to lunch. When I got back it was fixed.
If you have a suspension problem and you need/or want a specialist this is the place to go in PDX.

I asked Ron to check out a few things to ensure that my car was ready for a cross-country move. Ron was incredibly personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. I wish I had starting coming here much sooner and I would definitely recommend Ron to anyone looking for a great mechanic!

I’m really happy having this shop to work on my old cars (1985 VE Jetta and 1998 Suby Impreza) for over a decade now. They have and kept them going safe on the road all this time. Employee named Robert really goes the extra mile to get the job done right. Prices are good too so it’s the perfect shop for this type of auto work in SE Portland. I highly recommend!

My car has offset wheel/tire sizes (wider rear than front sizes), so normal tire rotation protocols won't work. That means correct alignment is critical for optimal tire wear. The guys at Ron's found out that we needed different shims and bolts to complete t e job. Of course they are pretty much a dealer-only item. The work needs to be done, and I offered a deposit to show I definitely want the work done. The tech said "not necessary" and they will call to set a return appointment as soon as the parts come in. Cannot wait to get our car back to roadworthy status.

The dealership wanted to charge me a lot of money. Luckily, I was referred here. Robert was a pleasure to work with: smart, honest, and fair on pricing. He fixed my Subaru months ago and it's still running great.great overall experience!

I don't often write reviews - good or bad - but I have to give this place its due. After 3 subpar alignmnents over a period of 2 years at other places, these guys finally got it done right. The last plave I tried made it even worse than it was before; veering, wheel not straight, tires wearing super fast. I was told that's the best they could do and that my tires were the problem even though they were brand new (?) My car is a bucket so I figured oh well I'll just live with it, but my tires had no thread left on one side in like a month. Decided to try one more place before giving up. Brought it to Ron's and voila, wheel is perfectly straight, no veering no nothing. Robert took care of it, he said it was like an inch off. Customer for life here.
