Really hard to find much fault with Roscoe's. It's a wonderful neighborhood dive bar that happens to have pretty good and innovative food, a great beer selection, decent booze selection and personable service. Street parking in the area can be challenging at times, which is really the only fault I can find with the place. The staffs fondness for showing old classic sci-fi and horror movies is a bonus.

This place was great back in the beginning of 2023 but in the summer time something changed. There's a group of us that go eat and have a beer after soccer and twice they gave us fried fish while frozen inside. Last night 12 of us went to Roscoes and one of my friends went to the wrong bar and she order fries and brought the food inside Roscoes. The guy from the bar came so hard on her that it was embarrassing. I understand where he us coming from but being rude like that is completely unacceptable.
I think they have plenty of clients that they won't miss our business and maybe they don't want a group of people in shorts. Either way we won't be back.

Super relaxed neighborhood hangout for comfort food, where you can be sure to find a beer to your liking-they have so many choices it's hard to decide- and if someone in your party doesn't like sushi (can't imagine why not) you can take them here and you can have sushi brought over from Miyamoto -everyone's good.

It is a great place to chill. Staff are friendly and the food is good. The last time I was there only 1 person was tending the bar, however he served our food in a timely manner. I have no complaints!

Food was alright. Stopped by on a Thursday night around 5: 40. No mention of happy hour etc. Their phones were more important

Don't bring a dog here anymore. Instead of just telling me that dogs weren't allowed inside ahead of time I was allowed to order a beer and then the manager came over and demanded to know the status of my dog. I panicked and said she was wherever she needed to be, and then took my beer outside. He was then IRATE when I paid and accused me of lying about my dog when I took it outside after he told me the rule.

I was very uncomfortable, and made a joke about my dog in an attempt to diffuse the situation. In reaction, the manager acted childish, and went "on break" when I asked to speak to him. He had already gossiped about our interaction and the server that spoke to me in his place had a lot of false information and assumptions that he provided. Super unprofessional.

I had my dog outside before I had one sip of beer, and it was completely unclear where I would order or get service without going inside.

The manager clearly has a lot of trauma and treats every person who mistakenly brings their dog inside like some kind of intentional criminal, even if you had no idea their policy had changed.

Roscoe's has broken, maybe not my heart, but the stomach pains I experienced after last eating there indicated their food did break something inside of me, again. I'm better now, thanks.

I used to love the food here, but it's been cruelly replaced by a very efficient card-reader system, a distinct drop in food quality, and a brutal increase in prices.

The ubiquitous toilet-cake smell and the constantly running sci-if movies no longer compel, unsupported. I cannot recommend.

If you know, you know. This place is a Portland staple. Great beer, awesome food and fantastic service. It’s a real Portland place. I don’t think the out of towners have found it yet. Do yourself a favor. Make a trip here.

Portion was too small on the gumbo bowl even though it was good.

Jambalaya is way better portioned out; and equally tasty as-well-as satisfying

Great craft brew selection, both local, regiomal, and even occasionally imported.
The catfish strips are about the best bar food bargain you'll find in PDX.

Chicken strips were definitely not something I’d ever buy again but very attentive bartender and the waygu burger was great.

Awesome food and service. The bathroom sucks and the back "patio" is an small tunnel of claustrophobia for smoking
