Rudy's Barbershop, Portland OR

Found Rudy’s while living up in Tacoma and starting going to the Pearl District one when I moved down here. Rudy’s as a chain is awesome and Erin does an great job with both my hair and my girlfriends!

Went in for a haircut and they botched my hair. I asked for an A-Line hair cut with a lot of layers and choppy and even had a reference photo and tried to explain the best that I could. Felt like it was extremely rushed too. The back of my hair was short but the front was about the same length I had when I came in. The cut wasn’t even an A-Line. The back was straight and the longer hair was just left there without shaping it how I had asked. Came here cause the other location I normally go to was super booked out and I should’ve just been patient. Now I’m $60 something dollars down the drain and having to get my hair fixed cause of how screwed up it is. Btw it was amber who helped me…

Solid short cut. Lovely stylists with lots of care, even down to the scented spray water bottles.

Samwise was amazing! Not only did I get an excellent cut that was exactly what I wanted and MORE, they were great to talk to too!

Samwise did a great job with me and my partner’s haircuts, we felt and looked great afterwards! They also gave me a scale treatment that was so relaxing and luxurious. Highly recommend them

Very nice shop. Samwise did an amazing job taking me from a shoulder length bob to a short cut with shaved sides. I get a lot of anxiety getting my hair done and Sam explained everything they were doing very well as well as what the different style choices would look like and mean for upkeep. Thank you!

This was my first time coming here and it was one of the best looking haircuts I have ever received. Amber was so nice and easy to talk to and did an amazing job at cutting my hair. She listened to what I wanted and it looks perfect! The staff is super friendly and the shop has a very cool unique look. Will definitely be coming back again!

I had the distinct honor of receiving the first haircut (at this Rudy’s location) from Samwise. They provided me with an excellent cut, and exceptional customer service! I’ll definitely be getting my haircut with them in the future!

Cut was rushed, uneven, and way too short. I was careful to explain what I was looking for, and Kelsey seemed to understand. Seconds later twice the length I'd expected was on the floor. I think she was too embarrassed to do a decent job after that. I'll have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. At least they didn't charge me the full price for long hair. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

The woman did a good job at cutting my hair. I really enjoyed the inside of the barbershop. Very classy.

It has an old fashioned feeling to it because of the wallpaper & the general look of it.

I'm quite disappointed with the quality of the hair cut I received, and would not recommend going here. The prices as well are quite a bit higher than several places I've been to which do better work. It's not worth it.

I had a haircut with Amber and I hated it. She appeared to be very confident as she repeatedly expressed she totally understood what I am looking for in my hair style. I woukd be honest it was the worst haircut I had in the past 10 years. She cut the side of my hair super short and left a lot of hair on top of my head! Her hand movement was so slow when cutting my hair. I realized her hesitation. She was clearly cluless what she is doing. She divided my hair into several pieces and cut them very unevenly. I left with a very horrible hair style and so many uneven unblended hair! Ugh

I arrived about ten minutes before opening time. I am mobility-limited and walk with a cane. As it was cold and drizzling, I asked if I could wait inside until my appointment, and when they refused and I complained, they called me hostile (at that point it was true) and cancelled my appointment. Most businesses make reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. This was not the case at Rudy's

Great barbershop. Amber gave me an excellent cut and beard trim despite the vagueness of my requests. Exceptional service and talented staff. 5/5
