My wife and I loved our time here. The facilities are awesome, the units well cared for and the management and maintenace staff are great! I happened to run into our favorite staff member, Phil, in town recently (over two years since we lived there!) and it reminded me how he was the main reason we decided to lease a unit. He is very attentive, thoughtful and really sees you as a person with unique needs instead of just someone to fill a unit and pay rent. Had we not bought our first home, we would probably still be there. Keep up the great work Phil and team.

Leasing agents are rude usually. Because of their agent turn over there are miscommunications on lease terms and move outs. They charged me for a scuff inside the drum of the dryer and after professionally cleaning carpets, charged me to replace.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful in getting me approved quickly. The apartment was clean and the community had all the amenities I was looking for. I can't wait to move into my new home.

My place has been infested with Roaches for over 7 weeks. Management has sent in orkin a few times to spray around the apartment for about 5 mins each time. Orkin has confirmed for me that I am at no fault, another tenant is doing this. It's been 7 weeks and I still see 7-10 roaches a day.

Well I had an appointment scheduled to tour today at 10am. Scheduled it two weeks ago. To which i went with the representatives suggested time and day they wanted. And not a single text, email or call after that, when they agreed to the time and day. But yet no response to let me know things had been cancelled. Just outright no one answered. No confirmation. And then it turns out the offices are closed on Monday. So the representative scheduled me for a Monday. Not sure if they knew the office was closed. But pretty poorly done if they can't even manage a touring let alone send me a follow up email, call or text saying they aren't going to make it.
Lets add to this, after being asked to follow up with the owner and reach out as the comment showed below. Guess what, they dont check their voice mails. They dont have anyone answering the phones. All in all, if i could give a 0 star review i really would.

Lived here for ~4 years.

TLDR; This place is fine as long as you don't live in the buildings in front of the pool area. I'm moving out because they raised my rent to a point where I can spend my $ on somewhere nicer & the pool noise / bad neighbors made it unbearable.

Management:
Management has always been a joke. For example, I was sitting on my porch and got locked out because the handle broke. I called the office 10+ times but nobody answered. I called the emergency line and no answer. I could SEE them inside the office. Finally when they decided to answer they told me "Oh sorry we were on lunch break playing billards", so take that as you please. They've ignored 3+ emails I've sent to them to complain after hours. They do absolutely nothing to uphold any of the "rules" they set in place.

Apartment:
Mine isn't an upgraded unit, but that was no excuse for a dented fridge & dishwasher, scratced tub, terrible counters, and peeling floors. I had to complain to get things in a somewhat decent shape. Mold is a huge issue in the winter so be prepared for that. No A/C, and since I live in front of the pool it is CONSTANT noise from 10am and way past the "closing" time of 10pm, so I can't crack a window. I thought that the walls weren't thin, but turns out I just used to have really quiet neighbors. I can hear my upstairs neighbor's conversations to a full now. There's also no ceiling lights in the living room / bedroom areas, so buy some lamps.
I do have a nice view of the sunset and my porch was nice to be able to relax on during the height of quarantine. They fenced off the walkway next to the Post Office so foot traffic from people cutting through the community is minimal compared to what it used to be. Utilities are affordable. The maintenence team is always quick.

Area / Community:
*CONS: It's gone downhill and fast. They stopped planting flowers a year or so ago. Dog park is a joke - they filled it in with pebbles that hurt my dog's feet and absolutely NOBODY cleans it up. They stopped putting doggie bags in the recepticals around the community "for monetary reasons" (laughable) so there's poop everywhere. Parking can be an issue, but it really depends on who's living there currently as over the years it went from impossible to get a spot to super easy. They won't tow so there's a lot of non-resident cars (including some people's work trucks that don't even fit into the small spots). But since it's free I can't complain. Trash areas are always gross - we just recently had to go over a week without bins by our building and they never explained why. Security is SOMETIMES reachable, there have been instances that they don't have officers available to send.

*PROS: It's walkable to Starbucks, food trucks, places to eat, banks, etc. Lots of space to walk my dog and it's not a far walk to Ventura Park. The Max blue line is a block or so away. Like said above, parking is mostly good and I've only had issues with theft once (someone stole my folding chairs off my porch).

All things considered I would reccomend this place to those who are okay with city noise, no A/C, has pets and 1+ car (s). Just don't live in buildings H or J.

Just accepted into our new unit and so far so good! Alexis is awesome, but everyone I've met at the apartments is super nice. You'd think with the placement between 102nd and the 205 mall it'd have a lot of noise, but the trees that surround the apartments drowns it out to give it a nice amount of quiet. There seems to always people working around the campus to keep the place maintained and alive, and with the local dog park in the complex I can't complain. If you're looking for well maintained, designed units in the city with some quiet, I would look here first.

We put in a service request at least 2 weeks ago and they have reopened the same service request at least 3 times now and come to look at our dryer and each time we've been here when maintenance has been here they say it is fixed yet we are having the same issue. I will be going into the office tomorrow morning after my class and requesting that we get a dryer replacement that actually works considering we are completely out of clean clothes and we pay rent to have things work in our apartment. If the issue is not resolved I will be pushing to speak with someone above the team here but am hoping tomorrow goes well and they replace our clearly broken dryer.

When you live at Russellville Commons it’s more like a community than an apartment complex

Very nice staff & interesting museum. Great little gift shop upon entering too. A little theatre area with an old video of Roy Rogers was playing. Selfie life sized stand-ups we're fun to take pics with!
