Safeway, Portland OR

A tiny grocery store in Southeast Portland, Thanks to Brian helped me find Signature Select Rising Crust Pizza also showed me wide range of Thai goods and cooking utensils, meat, and produce. Despite its size, you’re still going to find something new every time you go in. They’ve got everything you need to cook pizzas, including many varieties of coconut milk, fresh-made rice noodles, palm sugar, chilies, soy sauces, curries, and fish sauces.

Thank you Safeway, I will be returning.

Got "hot" food from the deli - food was BARELY luke warm, definitely not at a safe temp

Coffee mate creamer is hard to get I was told today. I go to fred meyer and they have full stock of hazelnut creamer. I go to another Safeway just to see and they have full stock to of it.

Plastic from China is hard to get he said.

This store has been clean and more organized for awhile now.

The store inside is clean, staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Sometimes long wait times at clerk check out.
The neighborhood surrounding the store is part of tent city. Cars speed & customers can be rude.

I'm not returning until the homeless camp in the parking lot/adjacent is cleaned. There are an increasing amount of feces, needles and rats. I'm usually there 5 days/week but won't return until this improves. Shocking that this place could pass a health inspection.

This Safeway does not have all the same specials as other stores. Also, they seem to run out of certain items all the time like all Sumatra coffees, pepper jack cheese slices, garlic lovers salsa, etc. They never have the 10 dollar off a 50 dollar purchase when other stores are running that promo. IDK just weird.

This Safeway caters to our neighborhood, in that it has a good mix of healthy and diet foods as well as ethnic and standard American diet foods. Glad to have a grocery store up the street.

Four stars for the bakery and deli, otherwise? If you need the very basics (bread, eggs, beer) it's okay. Anything else, this particular Safeway is lacking.

What a nightmare people running around with no masks.security being called over the intercom because of a fight in the bread isle. I was shocked at the amount of people in the store. Waited 24 minutes down one isle just to find out there was no exact line formation. Safeway is not running a safe ship. Soo disappointed I used to work there in high-school. So sad.

Good selection, security will follow you around if you are younger and/or are wearing a backpack

This Safeway is a cesspool! Its being run by an inept, unprofessional Store Manager who walks around ragged and disheveled. His employees are disrespectful although no all. Anthony in the meat department is a real pro. You are more likely to get covid or get robbed than you are to find quality or useful products. MISERABLE shopping experience. NEVER going back!
