Grocery Store Safeway reviews
17Safeway always has good deals on deli meats and cheeses, prepackaged meats, they have the BEST donuts at their bakery for a fair price, their produce also happens to also be super fresh, the fruit is ripe and juicey, the veggies are also ripe and ready to eat, cleaning supplies, and laundry detergent & softener.
The checkout lines are constantly so long they run into the aisles. Running in to grab a couple of things can be a ten minute endeavor.
The store is okay but I asked an employee to let his manager know that some people aren’t wearing face masks. He replied, “We cannot enforce it”. Which makes me mad because I know that you can kick them out of the store. But they choose to do nothing
Curbside pickup, HALF of my order was not fulfilled and Not informed of this before arriving to pick it up. No receipt given, customer service desk closed at 7pm and had to call DriveUp & Go# to ask what happened. Associate brought out my recpt and explained out of LOTS of stuff and short staffed. She was very nice, though shopping experience quite disappointing.
Very nice and clean. I gave 4 stars because i ordered a two tier cake which had more icing on it than cake but staff tried and they're super nice.
I bought some Deli 8 piece mix chicken. Omg! Awful! Way too salty! I can’t eat it. So gross! I usually get some at the 122nd one, and it’s not that way.
Shelves are not restocked, half bare. Employees without masks and not washing their hands (yes, I watch deli procedure before buying). Only two out of many checkouts open so the lines stretch back through the isles. No carts or baskets at the front, have to hunt them down in the parking lot. I ended up leaving with a single bag of groceries that cost $80 bucks for basics and store brand. I'm never shopping here again, WINCO is where it's at.
UPDATE: This is the same lip-service response you are giving everyone. Nothing is changing at the store. I notice you never addressed the fact your employees are not wearing masks while a virus is still rampaging through our state. You have lost a customer for life, there is no repairing this level of failure.
I have frequented this store for over twenty years, and shopped here exclusively since covid. But I will never be returning due to this stores decision to allow its employees to work without masks. Regardless of whether or not they're vaccinated, the delta variant is spreading here and these employees could be asymptomatic carriers spreading the disease to others. This is irresponsible, wreckless behavior risking lives for company profits and I will no longer be taking part in this immoral stores practices by shopping here.
Only decent grocery store around here that has beef ribs for a good price right now. This may be the spot for summer grilling.
Will update after eating some ribs.
39th and Powell really nice people there been a nice store for all the years that it's been there really good team Safeway thank you
This safeway has always been very consistant and helpful and they will zip you right thru the line yet their friendly as well!
Took my mother in to get her covid shot. I wanted to smooth out the process by making an appointment online. They said when we arrived they don't have access to their online appointment info for their location, including the personal information that I took the time to submit in advance. They did accept her as a walk in, but we had to start from scratch and wait in line. Definately a different experience then mine was at a CVS pharmacy, where they encouraged making appointments. I recommend closing your online portal to prevent further confusion.
The grocery side of things is always great at this location. Including the staff.
Things they don't have:
- Stouffer's Veggie Lasagna
- Bird's Eye Steamfresh Potatoes
Things they do have:
- No sale on popular ice cream pints in summer heat
- Very high prices. (Milanos 5 bucks? I can get two packs for that at Wal Mart!)
Great produce selection and the deli has restaurant quality Chinese food.
Cashiers along with their support staff are friendly and helpful,
I haven't had any problems in the store
My neighborhood Safeway! Always parking available and great produce. I love the deli and hot bar too! Awesome Safeway prices, house brands and a kind and courteous staff. See you soon Woodstock Safeway!
Its cool but why don't they carry seeded fruit? Watermelons, grapes etc should be seeded to benefit from all their nutrients. I can't find them anywhere.
I live only two blocks away.and it is very rare to make a "quick" stop due to long wait times for cashier.but this time WAS quick!
