Safeway, Portland OR

Nice staff but check to make sure the seals are still on your items. Noticed this Safeway tends to have people opening things and eating things in the store. Cant do much about the crazy homeless problem right now but just be sure your safe.

Also this Safeway tends to be low on stock quite often.

Security racially profiled me for the 6th time today. I moved to this neighborhood in the beginning of this year. I shop here at least once a week and spend between $130-$260 a week. I wear nice clean clothes and shoes and I behave like a normal civil person, so there’s no good reason to suspect me of shoplifting. Yet I get followed around the store every time there’s a new security guy for no other reason than assuming I might steal because I’m a brown person. Today, the new security guy was looking at what I was doing across from the end of the other aisle. Moments later, a clerk was staring at what I was doing at the end of the aisle. Only after I made eye contact with them, they moved away. I feel disgusted by this ongoing treatment. I will no longer shop here. Happy to take my money to Trader Joe’s where I’ve never had this experience.

Safeway is more expensive than most grocery stores I visit. And some of the employees aren't friendly at all. They need to have customer service training!

I love this location for the convenience and really nice design on the outside. But more importantly, I found so many new snacks here that I couldn’t find at other branches. Great snacks!

It was great. I always take my bike and shop into a pac of some kind.when the pack is full I am done shopping.no one bugs me about how I run my business there.and I am honest. (I am also pushing my Mt bike as well.) but it is good there

Ordered a cake for my father's memorial and I was very disappointed. A 5 year old could have done a better job. Won't order a cake there again.

I was only at this specific safeway because I do instacart orders and it was almost midnight, all the other safeways were closed. This safeway was getting ready to close and I was trying to hurry. I know the frustration of employees wanting customers to exit the store at closing time and some people can be difficult! I really appreciated that when I let them know what ideas doing the staff was super nice to me and let me finish up real fast! I also highly appreciated the security guard that night! He was very friendly and because of that you could see that customers respected him. Great STORE! THANKBYOU GUYS!

This is a Safeway location. They had everything I wanted and more last time I went there. Stay cool Safeway.

This place is always clean and has nice people working there, the loss prevention team is on top of things, but they care more about safety overall. Someone who stole booze kept falling down and they were really intoxicated but the team pulled through, keeping them calm until the person could go on their own. This whole thing happened outside the entrance in the Walkway.

I just went to this Safeway, and as usual they had every product I needed for less than other grocery stores nearby, but what impressed me was a young cashier who voluntarily put two Safeway Club cards in my bag, and gave me the associated discounts, without my asking. I only discovered the cards when I got home, and it was so nice to have someone make a kind gesture for no reason. Thanks Safeway cashier with the brown hair and dark painted nails!

Well the Safeway in the Pearl district is very nice and clean and the employees are very nice and polite. Thanks for helping me out. I sure do really appreciate at it. Keep up the great work.

Between the Safeway on Jefferson and the Safeway in the pearl this Safeway is by far the best. Yes there may be a panhandler outside the door but it's not dirty. It's easy to find things in the store. And the bread is not moldy and the meats fresh.

It's my second or third option, I place WinCo at# 1
#2 would be Albertson, I have gone to them most of my life, closes store growing up. Knew Alot of really great people That were there over the decades. But if Kenows was still in Business they would take # 1 all time, The Store was located on 182nd and Division, The Rockwood Store, You see That Brad & Bill Ran the Greatest Tag Team Ever, And I. Say that my Parents Ran on hard times, They Helped Are Family Greatly, I would Say This without even blinking, We ran out of Food most of the time.tbey gave Credit To Our Parents.

An excellent shop in which to procure fresh tomatoes and gallons of pure bleach, but not recommended for Tobacco products or similar supplies.

It's own ok Safeway. I have only been here a couple of times. The dude flying a sign out side the door was kinda a dil since I get the feeling he isn't actually homeless and was trying to hit me up for money or food (I am homeless) anyway the place had a decent selection and prices weren't too bad. I had little interaction with the workers as I did self checkout but when I accidentally tried to use my fredmyers card instead of the Safeway one the machine wasn't happy with me and the guy working that area was quick to come over and fix it for me. I had issues with my bag ripping right as I go to leave and he was quick to help me out there to so he was friendly enough.

The Safeway is a little harsh sometimes. It's super busy high traffic it can get really backed up there's a lot of trash and not always the best company always lingering around outside I just feel like more could be done to improve the shopper experience

It's a corprate chain (Kroger owned) grocery store, if your from the south think Ingles, if your from the east coast autowala. If you shop at chain grocery stores, Safeway tends to have better pricing for the consumer than other's in the area (Fred Mayers).

Never been in the city store it was different parked in a parking structure. Up to the store in a elevator. We went to the deli and the person making the sandwiches was very sweet i have a 5 year old and a 9 year old and she was very patient and taking their order made them laugh it was a good experience!
