I was prescribed the same medication for years, for my anxiety. Needed to change providers so i went to 2020 capitol, since they took my insurance. They are not prescribing me my usual med for anxiety, but would rather “run test” with new medication ALL OVER AGAIN. Why? I think doctors need to be in communication with each other, even if clients have different insurances. I refuse to go through this process again that i did in 2013. I’m not your ginny pig. They have Great staff, but that’s not going to help me when I’m having a panic attack. I see why people turn to the streets for meds that they needs. The system unfortunately fails.

We had great experiences with the Clinic up until we had Dr. Samantha Easterly as our child's pediatrician. Treated us horribly for not wanting to give our 2 month old 8 vaccines all at once. We will be going to a different pediatrician that actually cares about children's well being.

These guys are sadly imploding. The total lack of experience after running all of their experienced Dr’s into early retirement is showing. I was a happy recipient of care under Dr Vanderberg for 16+ years all at Salem Clinic south. I was forced into a new Dr after Vanderberg retired (wish him all the best in the world) and just like snapping fingers I became a villain and subjected to judgment from my prescription list and perceptions around schedule II medications.
All based on the new Dr’s “opinion” that became his primary focus of me. Then he diagnosed me with a new disease (to which I’m grateful he found it), this one I know nothing about and desperate trying to manage with more medication and diet and meds I’ve had bad reactions to with zero assistance. I need to state for “My Chart” purposes if you use this app that the NCMA (Monica Duran) is not there to help. She rarely responds and give no updates of if the Dr has been notified. The screen doesn’t even say she read the message which the older NCMA used to say “READ” so you knew it was received.
I believe she actually enjoys giving thee most unhelpful answers she can through MyChart at the most delayed possible point. Her answers tell me she knows nothing and does zero research accept making assumptions. She expects us to know things have been submitted but doesn’t share they have been. She plays Dr when she should be playing Nursing assistant. Recently I’ve been waiting 4 weeks to get into my primary care Dr simply for a follow up while asking desperately for help or sooner appt.through “My Chart”.
Today the reply I received was do not send more than one message by the NCMA (Monica). Like if I have different subjects needing care I should send one for each in my mind. More importantly rather than help me THIS was her biggest pedestal statement rather than assisting me with help (Like Monica is it written in your rules somewhere to only send one message every 3 weeks? Get over yourself) ….
So with no reply in 2 weeks I had to go into urgent-care, that U/C nurse tested me promptly and sent me directly to the ER!
My white blood cell count was double what was normal (24k for those Dr’s reading) I had my potassium count extremely low at 1.5 and my heart was not beating correctly so 3 EKG’s at the ER visit. I stayed in ER for 6 hours while they gave me IV bag after bag to get my potassium levels up to normal low range. I asked for another Dr and Salem Clinic and they will not allow it! Can you imagine in America being told you cannot switch Drs!? So I’m out of potassium pills since yesterday and simply ask “My Dr through My Chart” for a refill and please provide a status update on all my other care that has been in limbo for months.
I called the front desk because the NCMA doesn’t answer 4-7 day old My chart requests. The front staff ladies are ALL super helpful. They sound exhausted and sympathetic because they know up front you are going to get zero response but they do what they can to help and ladies thank you so much for trying.
However, you guessed it, my roadblock/bulldozer NCMA (roadblock-Duran) comes rolling in like she’s my actual Dr and tells me the medication the ER Dr has me on from an ER visit with labs showing it’s 100% needed…. You can address when you see your primary care on Sept/8th because he’s on vacation now….
This will be 10 days off the medication a Dr prescribed and an NCMA will not do her job to go get a new script. She won’t even show the on call Dr my message! That’s the really sad state of care Salem Clinic has become. Please remember I was a happy patient for 16+ years. It’s not like I changed overnight and decided to be rude or complain. It’s like Salem Clinic stopped hiring people that place their patients first. I’ve got to start my exit plan and hope this helps some of you from ever getting involved in this pit in the first place.

I went in yesterday due to an ingrown toenail. And they gave me a damn home remedy. I wasn’t happy about removing it myself just caused my anxiety to get worse. I wasn’t very pleased

I used to see Dr Daniels. I have a long (documented history) of chronic migraines. He refused to send me to neurologist. The clinic got involed, said he had to help me and he passed me off to a different doctor because he refused to help.

I have always had prompt and friendly service. Wait times have been minimal in all departments, and I have a group of doctors and nurses who listen to me. I love this clinic.

One review for three places:

Salem Hospital
Salem Clinic
Legacy Health

On 7-25-23 at around 6pm in the afternoon, I went down to the Salem Hospital ER with severe abdominal pain, a fever, and several other symptoms suggesting appendicitis. After getting checked in, they eventually took samples and told me to sit. After almost 4 hours of waiting, less than 1/4 of the waiting room had been addressed in any capacity.

Unsure what the triage protocol was, but there were some people who advanced that made no sense that had visibly lesser symptoms than many people in the room; not including myself. I can't judge them for this, but I can muse on the subject of why obvious drug addicts were seen before some others. My wife asked about an ETA after four hours, and they said "an hour or so. "

I had to leave. I couldn't sit there any longer with the pain getting worse. I went home, and went to Salem Clinic Urgent Care about 20 minutes before they opened the following day. I described my symptoms, and before they even officially opened, they took me back. They used the ER blood work to do some further analysis. They went above and beyond to help me, but unfortunately said they couldn't schedule me for a few weeks for a scan. They suggested to go back to the ER.

I decided to never set foot in Salem Hospital ER again, and instead opted to go to Legacy Health in Silverton. I was checked in, triaged, scanned, diagnosed, and scheduled for surgery in 50% less of the time I was at Salem Hospital. And who knows how much longer it would've been if I had stayed.

Legacy Health was professional, fast, accurate, and saved my appendix from rupturing. Special shout out to Dr. Havel for her amazing surgical skills, the rest of the team that made sure to chat with me before getting knocked out, and Nurse Raisa for her incredible diligence and hospitality.

I've used SC a few times. I go there mostly to see my gynecologist for routine screenings and she is amazing. I really love this clinic. I've also used their lab as well as done some imaging there as well. Haven't ran into any negative experiences. Really a great place.

They removed me from my family Doctor because I had not been in to see him within their time requirements that I didn’t even know about. I was reassigned to a new Doctor, but he left the Clinic and they told me I was no longer a patient there anymore and they were not accepting anyone new. Just poor business practices, lack of concern for longtime patients like myself, and not being willing to do the right thing because “policies” are more important apparently than patients.

These people don’t really care about your well being. I went to urgent care due to severe upper back pain that occurred the same morning. I told them that any sudden movement was painful. I didn’t get an X-ray or MRI. They had me out of there in 15 min with a note for my construction job saying I can return in 2 day and a muscle relaxer prescription.

I've been a patient of Dr. S for nearly 30 years, so I obviously love my doctor, but today was different. Thank you DEVON for handling all that paperwork for my mother. Finding us.making sure we knew what to do with it.just REALLY made us feel taken care of, guided, and ready for that next appointment.

Dr. Stoessl is absolutely incredible. He always explains things really well and never makes me feel like he’s rushing me out the door. He listens and is so quick to find solutions. I’m so grateful to have him as a doctor!

As far as I can tell, no human being ever answers the phone. The only option is to leave a message if you don’t “know your party’s extension. ” So, I left a message on my first attempt to reach them, after listening to a recording that said I was not to call back until I hadn’t received a response after 48 hours. I was a little shocked. Are they really that under-staffed?

Doctor addressed all my concerns for the visit and took a little longer to get to me (think they were running a little behind) my only complaint is the desk in the urgent care area for check in for labs they were not friendly

Great medical care; it is nice having the lab and X-ray right there too-saves driving to another location.
We visit the internal medicine department and are never disappointed in their sincere care for us.

If you have another option, TAKE IT. Unless you like jumping through hoops constantly only to have them send you home without results.
