Salon 554, Salem OR

I saw Ellie and my boyfriend saw Anna. We both had a really great experience! I got just a classic cut and layers but had a lot of damaged hair I needed cut. Ellie did a really great job and that’s coming from someone who is so anxious about bad hair cuts that I only get one once a year! I will definitely be going back to her for regular ones.

Anna did such a great job on my bf’s hair, we both love it!

I called and was looking to get a trim, I explained to the lady whom answered the phone that I need a trim and I needed to make sure that my small dog in her contained stroller would be okay. She asked me when I wanted to come in and I told her tonight. She told me no appointments were available for tonight but I could be seen tomorrow. She told me hold on one minute because she was dealing with a customer in front of her. I said okay, there was a short pause then the next thing I know some lady other than the one that I talk to you begin with was answering the phone asking me exactly what I wanted again when I told her I said I was just talking to somebody she was supposed to come right back and then the lady was like oh yeah but I'm the one who works the front desk. I explained again to her and said I need to be seen tomorrow. She responded "Oh, tonight, No we have no appointments left tonight. "I repeated myself twice more before she heard me correctly. Then she tells me the salon is book for tomorrow. Disfuntional and very unprofessional. I won't be calling them again.

Raelyn was great. She took the time to listen and discuss what I wanted, and helped me to create a new hairstyle that I love.

This salon doesn't deserve a star, they are the worse I have ever been to in over 30 years. I am an aesthetician and have not only worked in salons and spa's, but have managed six of them. I can't imagine treating a client the way they did to me. I was lied to, deceived by several of the stylists, and have trauma from the five times I had to go there only to still have a mess on my hands.
My first appointment was June 22nd. I showed up for my 12 pm consultation for extensions to be told, rudely, that I missed my appointment. Marissa gave me a five minute consultation the only reason I came back on the 28th with Sierra. The extensions I asked for were supposed to be wavy/curly. They were straight. I had to wait again until July 5th. The extensions were kind of wavy so I let Sierra install them to only have to come back on the 8th to get them out. I showered and they lost the fake wave.
Marissa took over and permed them, something no one does because they damage them, however she felt confident after seeing it done on YouTube. I paid over $1100.for this nightmare after being told they don't refund the money.
They are lacking in integrity, honesty, and care for the clients. After talking to five other stylists, they all had terrible experiences with these thieves.
Unless you want to be ripped off and disrepected, stay away! It's a minefield and you will never be right about anything. They don't care and the owner, Sara, allows this behavior.

A salon as expensive as this one is and yet they have no area for people to wait in? I've never been in a salon in my life that has no area to wait. Big area full of ridiculously priced hair and skin products but no where for people to sit and wait for their apt or for someone else to have their hair done. Good thinking.

Very professional! No fear of girls with short hair. It was quick and thorough. I'm very pleased.

Cassi is wonderful. Listened to what I wanted and didnt try to tell me what I wanted. Love her. My hair looks amazing.

Raelyn is amazing! She spent all day doing my hair. For context my hair length is past my bum, and she worked so hard for hours. She was able to make my hair perfect for my wedding day. I highly recommend her for blonding services. She was able to add so much lightness to my hair and I am in love with it! If I could give her 10 stars I would!

Ashley had great reccomendations and did a perfect cut/color! I'm so happy with my results today.

My stylist is amazing and I continue to return to the salon to see her exclusively. The owner of the salon increased services on the weekend by 25%. Perhaps this is a industry standard.

She cut my hair and was very attentive to my needs and was very clean. I definitely recommend her to anyone who is in need of a men’s haircut and if you have a picture to reference what your looking to achieve she will perform it.

Janelle, thank you for being so kind the other day! I was going to cancel, but my husband encouraged me to go in, and I'm glad I did. Getting my hair done was such a relief for me due to my depression. It's one last thing to worry about. Again, thank you for your patience and kind heart.

I highly recommend Odalys on getting your highlights done. I love how they came out! I have already received many compliments over how it came out. She’s so nice and kind person.

I highly recommend Marissa if you have curly, I have been going to her for about 4 years, she's the best in her specialization. I will always keep coming back to her and only her!

I have been solid blonde for years and I wanted to get some dimension back into my hair. I decided I wanted some lowlights and a super ashy toner so I came back to Salon 554. Janelle did my hair and from consultation to process to walking out the door, I felt heard and got exactly what I wanted. She took the time to come up with a plan for my hair and during the process when my hair wasn’t picking up the toner just right she took the extra time to mix up a different toner to make sure my color was even. I went from solid, brassy blonde with a few inches of regrowth to this gorgeous, dimensional silver and I am so so so happy with it! Thank you Janelle! I will definitely be back!

Go to Ana! Her work is stunning. She's super good at helping you find/maintain your style. Very in tune with her clients and so kind! The salon space is nice and comfy, great experience everytime!

Ana has given me the best haircut experiences I’ve ever had. She truly listens to what I want and is super flexible in going with the flow. Recently I decided on a whim to do a mullet and she delivered! I won’t keep it forever, but it’s so fun and refreshing!
