Salt & Straw reviews
17Super flavorful, unique concoctions that are so much better than they often sound. Worth the 20 minute wait!
LOVED the atmosphere and the staff. The flavors range from quirky to classic and you get way more than your money's worth.
Get a scoop of the honey lavender and strawberry balsamic with black pepper. Thank me later
Our favorite place for ice cream. They always have a different flavor every season. We went downtown for the first time and we had pumpkin-spiced tiramisu ice flavor. Must try other flavors.
Listen. Anyone who gives S&S less than five stars cannot be trusted, doesn’t stop at crosswalks, and makes babies cry. This is the gold standard for ice cream, it’s packaging is cute, and the staff angelic. They have to endure our indecision and wait for us to decide if we want a waffle cone or not. This IS my favorite ice cream shop in the world. Line or no line I’m coming for you!
Decided to stop in after hearing a bunch of hype and I was not disappointed. They have a TON of unique flavors that all tasted wonderful. Loved the vibe.
So good. They make the waffle cones in front of you. Good selection of ice cream and great service
A little over rated, had the bread pudding ice cream.tasted like I was chewing on paper.
The mint was good, need some.more edible practical options for flavours
Got mulberry coconut sorbet, wonderful flavor, good, crunchy cones. Great dairy free treat. Lots of interesting flavors, they allow tasting before ordering
I live this ice cream shop! There's so many unique flavors, and they all somehow work well. You can try and sample it, too. It's one of the top things to do in Portland so far!
Great options. Gluten free things are not marked. I wish they would mark the ice creams the same way they do for vegan.
Good ice cream with crazy flavors. The blue cheese was not for me but the Brie and fig was lovely. Loved the fact they give you some tasters while you're in the line so you can figure your choice out.
Amazing ice cream! So many unique flavors and combinations that you'd never think to put into ice cream that are surprisingly delicious. The staff was super nice and helpful and lets you sample these one of a kind flavors. I could not recommend more highly!
Great ice cream. I got a half-scoop order in a cone. I went Sea Salt w/ Caramel and the Cinnamon Snickerdoodle. Both flavors were really, REALLY good
They encourage you to try first. I think you should.
Some flavors are odd they are all great
The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 us that the ice cream is a bit pricey and the wait can be awhile.
I loved how they had vegan options and the ice cream was really good! I had the honey lavender and double fold vanilla and they were both great! Decor was super cute as well. I do wish they had seating.
Can't get enough of their cookie dough and chocolate brownie. Despite the lack of seating, we will continue to come back for the best ice cream we've ever had. The staff is young and very good at their jobs. Keeping the line moving on NW 23rd is accomplished through tactful engagement and assertive excellence. Did I tell you about the cookie dough though?
