First time there and had great food. Went with the pastrami zombie and will definitely get it again!

Great place in Ashland. Amazing sandwiches. They smoke their own meat. Love the outdoor seating.

Cashier was super nice, unfortunately the sandwich was super disappointing. Got the tre sandwich, bread was hard to bite through and for $14 I expected more than one slice of mortadella and prosciutto. Will not be coming back

It’s been over two years since I had the pastrami sandwich and I’m still thinking about it. Had no idea pastrami could have such good taste or texture. Praying one day they get a Denver location

Easily the best food in Ashland. Friendly service and good outdoor seating (though hot, could use spray misters in an ideal world). Try the albacore.

The sandwiches at Sammich are always delicious. All of the ingredients are fresh and go well together in the sandwiches. Some of the sandwiches can be a bit pricey. The atmosphere is relaxed and smelling the smoking meat makes for a great atmosphere.

Excellent deli sandwiches, hot and cold made Chicago-Cubbie (& NY-Style) w/ personal service. Featured on Guy Fiere's DDD Southern Oregon

Bit spoiled by Canters in LA, smoked meats in Montreal and the salted beef in E1, London. Bit bummed on lack of meats, will do double meats next time.

Sandwiches are delicious and very well sized! Might seem pricey but they give you a lot, if you have a smaller appetite you will have 2 meals! It even came with chips which was a surprise and one of the guys offered us more! The staff was very friendly and so are the rest of the people there. A few things to note: there is a bathroom if you go through the door in the front and walk straight next to the kitchen. The seating is also outdoors which isn't the best for a hot day but most of the tables are in the shade. Overall a wonderful experience here!

Delicious - we shared a veggie Melanzane sandwich and a side of the zombie slaw. The staff was friendly and welcoming - and most importantly really proud of the food they are making. Nice outside dining area.

If you are travelling through southern Oregon, you have to stop here and get the Porkstrami sandwich! It is heavenly. We also enjoyed the albacore, both grilled and cold. Highly recommended!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had! Can’t go wrong here—everything is made in house, including the smoked meats. If you want a veggie option, the Barbo is delicious. Friendly service too!

Definitely the best pastrami sandwich I’ve had in a long while & my wife’s burger was delicious according to her! Definitely different than how I remembered the place being many years ago but still amazing!

Got the turkey cranberry sandwich.
Sourdough bread fell apart.
Some kind of vinegar slaw heaped on the two slices of turkey that destroyed the sweetness of the cranberries.
Uneatable.
Nope.

When “turkey, cheese and nothing else” comes with everything included, and your kids won’t eat their food, 3 hours into a road trip, it’s a bummer. Especially for $15 a sandwich.

Good for the area but the sandwiches were a bit dry. The tuba salad one was very good though and not dry.

I have been showing at this place for years now. It's changed a bit, not all for the better. There used to be more of a local vibe. It's streamlined, and the quality of product is there, but not without compromising in certain ways only a regular local would recognize (e.g. Apparent balance [or lack thereof] in ratio of bread to meat, upcharges, etc.just not quite the same culinary touch and attention to detail). It would seem the pretense of being a multi-site franchise, the expansion, things of that nature.have contributed to giving off more of a boxed up, generic, corporate impression (versus homegrown or local). That's honestly what I miss about Sammich now, and literally how it seems to have translated on the plate. Best to the progress of the franchise and its owners, that assuming it can maintain the kind of true deli integrity - across the board - that it's had in the past.

Disappointed man.this literally used to be my favorite sandwich shop ever.
Since moving to outside seating only that is not all that has changed.
The quality of sandwich and portions has clearly changed.
The wait for your sandwich can easily top 30-45 minutes.
It was father's day we came from out of town because all I wanted was Sammich for Father's Day
we ordered THREE sandwiches. After waiting nearly 40 minutes they brought us two sandwiches and the guy at the counter was basically "well sorry I didn't hear that". No offer at all to do anything about it and we both knew I was not going to wait another 30+min for the third sandwich.as we were leaving I overheard another table complaining about not getting their FOURTH sandwich.

Slimmed down portions
Lower quality
Overly Crowded
Long waits

This was very disheartening.

This place is fantastic. Great outdoor atmosphere, outstanding food, great service. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for reasonably priced, excellent food.

This place should have a line stretching from the counter staffed by super friendly people rolling oldie tunes, through the super nice outdoor (and heated) seating area where I ate my outstanding Shortstop (roast beef) sandwich with outstanding slaw on the side, into the parking lot, which isn't much, and out to the street. It doesn't, which may be a crying shame for whoever built this culinary shrine to the humble sandwich, but I ordered and was eating within about 5 minutes. Will definitely return next time I am in Ashland. It's a total gem of a place. Go.
