Sandbagger Saloon, Terrebonne OR

I decided to try this local bar after checking into my room at the Smith Rock Resort.

The menu featured burgers, salads, appetizers, steaks and pizzas.

I did not find much that was appealing and ordered a pizza
and an iced tea.

After selecting my toppings, I waited about an half hour for my pizza.

The server was friendly and gave updates on my order and refills on my iced tea.

The pizza had a thin crust with a light amount of sauce with pineapple and Canadian Bacon.

It was a solid pizza for a bar
that serves a limited menu.

The Sandbagger Salon is located on the Crooked River and a few minutes from the Smith Rock Resort.

This bar is so much fun! The people (staff and regulars) are so warm and welcoming to new people.
The food is amazing and the drinks were awesome and fairly priced.
We had the most fun at karaoke night (fridays at 8pm)
A huge shout out to the amazing bar staff, Dave and Bonnie, who were so kind and so much fun. We always felt safe and comfortable.
Best Saloon we have been to because of the people that made it so special.

I have 3 ways I judge a restaurant.

Their Biscuits and gravy if they sell it.
Their Chili.
And the price of their burgers.

If you sell a the same Frozen meatpuck burger with fries that every other local restaurant sells and you can't keep it under 10.00 you have an issue.
Plus. 50 cent pickup charge. So you charge because I'm not going to sit inside during a pandemic.

"Well, the staff need tips and the package costs money"

Well, get yourself a 10.00 burger and fries and you will sell more of them leaving us to have a little more left over for tips.

I'll go to Blue dog. Thanks but no thanks.

Down home atmosphere and friendly service make this one of our faves. The menu is varied, including burgers, really good fish and chips, sooups, salads and a few surprises, like Alfredo or an Ahi w soy glaze appetizer.
The bar side has pool, poker and sometimes karaoke and gets a bit loud but not rough.

Great staff! Fun time for friends and family to go to. Video poker available and excellent food!

Great food! Love the fish & chips. My new favorite! Service is excellent. Sarah is super friendly & attentive. Great attitude. Great food. Go check it out!

We love visiting the Saloon! One of my favorite dishes is their French Dip! It comes with cararamelized onions and melty cheese on a french roll and us absolutely delicious. The french fries are even seasoned and crispy!

As for drinks.they have plenty of options at the bar and tasty bloodys! The coffee is good too!

Besides the satisfying food & beverages, their customer service is awesome too! They always put a smile on our faces and make sure we're taken care of.

. I can't wait to go back for that French Dip again!

Was a bit of a ghost town on Saturday night. I think they were all at the tap house. But service was good and always a good time when we stop in.

When we arrived on a Monday night, they were busy! The waitress warned is that the kitchen was backed up, but we pulled up a seat anyway. My wife had a drink, I had iced tea, and just talked and watched as the 2 servers ran their legs off! The whole time they were pleasant, kept our drinks full, and when the food came, you could tell the cooks still took time to make the dishes hot and decorated. Since this place is on a golf course in cowboy territory, the atmosphere always seems more relaxed than a restaurant in town. Definitely give ot a try!

We've tried to support this local place for years, but the food has declined terribly; don't think we'll be back. Very sad.

Was really looking forward to dinner. Were only people in restaurant. Made direct eye contact with server. Sat there for over 20 minutes and no one even brought us a menu. Finally got up and left. Not even a goodbye or sorry from wait staff. Went to Taphouse and had great dinner with superb service. Think bagger is going downhill. What a shame.
