So happy to see a nice new sandwich spot out here where Sandy stops being a cool diagonal street and starts getting real. Great sandwiches and fries, and the vibe inside is laid back. I recommend the La Luna, a turkey bacon bad boy worth your time.

Really tasty sandwiches! The chipped Italian and the pulled pork were amazing can't wait to try the rest and their burgers

It is a great place to get both burgers and sandwiches. We ordered the Holy Smokes Smash and Italian Necktie. The burger was great, especially with the pimento cheese and brisket patty. The Italian Necktie was also great as the chopped meats mixed together made every bite worthwhile. The fries were also well prepared and seasoned. Everything about this place is great! I just wished it was closer to town.

The first person who helped me said he would not substitute the pork for chicken and did not offer any other suggestions, which was unfortunate. I stepped aside to browse the menu some more, and EMMA stepped up to the register and was able to make the substitute I wanted, yay! I ended up getting the K-town Hero with fried chicken instead of pork. It was delicious! Well balanced and toasted perfectly!

Here are some things I'd like to mention:
1). They do not have their own parking lot, and Sandy Blvd is extremely busy, we ended up parking across the street and walking in
2). The entire shop looks closed and depressing. They have beautiful front picture windows they they have completely covered with window graphics, allowing for very little natural lighting
3). Fries do not come with the sandwiches! Expect to pay close $25 after tip for fries and a sandwich
4). There are a few vegetarian options, but they don't have it labeled. Be ready to read every ingredient on the menu

Overall, there are a lot of things I'd change personally, but if you don't mind the unexciting atmosphere, they actually do make a pretty good sandwich.

The Amalfi Bounty is one of the best sandwiches in town - that gardenia mix is magic. I’m looking forward
to working my way through the rest of their menu -

My 8 year old daughter said.

“Sandy-O’s, 5 stars! ” After taking her first bite. Then half way through the sandwich she said, “no seriously, is there a place where you can go to give it 5 stars”. Now I am here, leaving this review.

Sandy O’s is a place I have driven by many a time since they opened some months ago and always wanted to stop and finally did today for an early lunch! When walking through the door the wonderful smells of bacon and smoked meat greet you like a hug! Ummm bacon! I was also greeted with a warm smile by Emily, an employee of the restaurant group for over 17 years! This place is owned by Your Neighborhood Restaurant Group (Laurelhurst Market, Big’s Chicken, Reverend’s BBQ, Ate Oh Ate and La Luna Cafe are other popular restaurants we know and love). We got The PeeWee and a Holy Smokes Smash Burger! Both delish, but I scored with the burger with burnt brisket ends and a side of crunchy, battered and seasoned fries. They have a wonderful house sauce that is a mustard/pickle mixture that compliments everything well, just wanted to eat one more fry to have a bit more! The menu is easy, the folks kind and the decor is rustic. Seats about 40 and even full would have plenty of room left over, has a signature ‘mule’ drink and beers for offerings besides the pop and such! I urge you to support our newest little gem on Sandy at NE 105th!

This is a new burger restaurant that is a great addition to the wide variety of foods in the NW! We got the Holy Smokes Smash and BLT Smash and both were delicious! Definitely worth the time to visit! The fries are different in a good way! The side sauces are unique. They are good and welcome change from the norm! Two suggestions for the owners: 1. I would put parking next to restaurant, 2. Please change the lighting. The decor is FABULOUS! But the lights detract from the comfortable decor.

I tried a burger and Sammie. The Italian Necktie I tried was ok, but for some reason they had tossed the chopped meats in mayo, which there was way too much of. For Italian cold cut sandwiches I much prefer a good vinaigrette, with a bit of mustard and Mayo. And I definitely don’t want the meats slathered in mayo like a chicken or tuna salad.

As far as the burgers, these are not smash burgers at all IMO. Pretty thick. But they were juicy and perfectly cooked so I’ll disregard the category. My friend had the Holy Smokes burger which he loved and said was very filling. I sampled a basic cheeseburger. The ground beef was pretty amazing, if a bit salty. Pretty nice portion for 8 bucks.

Going with 3 stars for now based on the Necktie being quite off. The pictures on the website don’t look like what I received at all so I’ll come another day and update the review if it makes sense.

Their burgers are ok, but their sandwiches are less than ok. The highlight is the fries. It's counter service and you bus your own table. I live really close by so I've tried a few of their sandwiches. Nothing stood out, they all felt like they were missing something.

Different takes on sandwiches. Wasn't terrible, just not my cup of sandwich I suppose. Super long wait also

Very nice place to eat. Parking was really busy and hard to find a place to park! Cost 52.00 for 3 items!

Food just okay. Seems spendy for the quality. 5 dollars extra for maybe a medium fry, so 20 bucks for sandwich and fry? Yikes.

So heard this was a new place in town and I always like to try the basic thing at a new place, so I ordered their "Rose City Smash Burger". This was a big burger, i ordered the double because I was hungry but getting the single woulda been just fine. The burger was pretty good, but not really a fan of their "special sauce" (just not much flavor to it), next time i think just some regular mayo and mustard would be better for me. They say it comes on a "soft bun", and their not kidding. The bun was very soft.so soft it doesn't really stand up to the burger and kinda just got mushy. The fries are very good, crisp and crunchy just the way I like em. They've got a fairly good size parking lot that had plenty of spaces at 5: 30 on a Wednesday. The dining room is a good size also. I will go back there, I'd like to explore some of the other sandwich options, especially knowing this is the same people that run Laurelhurst Market.

I live close so I will be updating as I try things. Had the crusty chicken and peewee. Chicken sandwich was very bland surprisingly. Had high hopes with it having Calabrian chiles and roasted onions. It tasted like there was zero salt on the chicken at an stage of prep. The peewee on the other hand was pretty good, very impressed with the giardiniera and the meat was nicely smoked. I also tried the fries which were crispy but the seasoning mostly tastes like sugar. Lastly the cookies are decent. I tried one cold and will will warm the other one later to try out.
