Sauvie Island Boat Ramp reviews
7Great boat ramp, decent amount of parking, the dock is in great shape, and the ramp is usable at low tide mid summer. You cannot say the same for all ramps in the area.
Fishing was getting good. Have to wait for daylight to launch boat and give a review of the ramp itself. I can tell you that It in fact does not close at midnight like I saw online, the incredibly harsh older lady who lives in the boathouse next to the dock was kind enough correct me in way of coming out the back door of the floating house in a very “golden girls” style night gown to blind me with her impossibly bright spotlight and ask “who the hell fishes in the middle of the night? ” I politely told her I’m sorry, I figured it wasn’t the first time seeing how they close at midnight, in which she replied, “It does not, it closes at 10” I chose to take her word for it and advise everyone else to. They close at 10pm on the dot. And I wouldn’t knock on that door if you happen to need anything, who knows what she’s got under that baggy night gown to go with that extreme tactical spotlight she carries. I kinda like her tho so 5 stars
There's parking availability now that all of the houseless have been forced to move along. Nice place to put the boat in the water and free to boot!
The ramp was held up with several boats waiting to get out as a boat in the water stalled and blocked the dock from people needing to dock in the water and those waiting to to get their trailers out of the parking lot. A lot of angry people.
Great boat ramp but wish there were a few more parking spaces for vehicles without trailers (us kayakers!)
Best fishing hole in sauvies, tons of catfish carp and panfish. Only spot with year round fishing for catfish around Portland. Great spot
Not too much trash laying around this time. Boat dock is really nice. Newer construction grippy steel decking. Low to the water making it easier to use by paddlers. Serviced bathroom and garbage bins.
