This is an excellent hands-on museum for kids age 1 - 12, and always worth visiting for that! This review is for their temporary exhibit, which is there till Sept 2,2019, which is also excellent for adults! If you are in town to see some plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, plan an hour or two to come check out Wild Music. It covers the science of music (like how the ear processes sound, how the structure of a bird's larynx differs from a human and how that affects the music they make), and also looks at how music is found in nature and how nature sounds inspire human musicians. Lots to read about and lots to try out hands-on! (Adults will also probably enjoy the optical illusions exhibit.)

Okay.i have been going here for my birthday for about four years now every year.but the new dinosaur thing SUCKS.you should bring back the animatronic dinosaurs or the sound area.it is a disappointment going now but it is still quite fun.there is barely any thing there anymore and it is pretty expensive.

Heads up: THEY CHANGED THEIR HOURS! Super, super disappointed that they pushed their opening time back from 10 am to 11 am! This was pretty much the only place for morning outings (especially on Sundays!). So.thanks for ruining that, Scienceworks. We will come her significantly less bc of the change. That said, this place is fun. I took off a star bc the time change is sincerely a bummer. They have rotating exhibits which are hit & miss. The constant exhibits are solid- my kid especially likes the toddler room.

We had our wedding at ScienceWorks and it was the PERFECT VENUE! Our guests (kids AND adults!) had a blast playing with the exhibits and the outdoor area - with views of Grizzly Peak - was beautiful for our ceremony and reception. Regina and Kevin were super helpful to make our wedding everything we had imagined! Highly recommend not just as a science museum but as an awesome event space!

Brought the kids here 2 years ago and had a great time. I even enjoyed checking out the exhibits and may have had more fun than the kids. This visit was a bit of a let down due to the number of exhibits that were completely broken, in disrepair or longer available.

We went to spend some time with our family. Cost us 68 dollars to get in and half the exhibits were either broken or in disrepair. Felt the price was too steep for the small amount of activities they had to offer. We live local but will not be going back. Would be in your better interest to drive 5 hours to OMSI in Portland.

A wonderful place to take a kid. Borrow a relatives kid so you don't look out of place, I love it.

I just had the most amazing time at ScienceWorks for my son’s school field trip. The staff was amazing and incredibly patient and encouraging with the kids. The whole experience was centered around them, it was so nice to just let all the kids explore and think freely.

Myself and the kids loved this place. Is a great place to do and learn. I was only disappointed that i went on veterans day, asked if they had a veterans discount, and was told they only offer something to active duty. They serve, I've served what is the deference?

I love taking my son here! For a small town, this is a nice museum. Simple, yet friendly staff and I always see children ranging from 1-12 running around happily. However, within the last two months, one of the toddler stations have been broken, a little sad that it’s still not fixed yet. We have come at least twice and it hasn’t been fixed. The water station is one of my toddlers favorite stations. Hope it gets fixed soon!

I would give Scienceworks 4.5+! The kids LOVE it and the exhibits are set up to allow parents to interact and have fun too. This is a place everyone needs to try at least once.

I was there today and was disappointed. Many exhibits not working and or not maintained. The dinosaur exhibits we're not what I had expected from all the advertisement. I felt miss lead.

** First Sunday of the month is $3 admission. **

Me and the boys always have a great time here. So many cool hands-on things to do.

The best place to take your kids on a rainy day, host to community activities, and fantastic summer camp programs!

Great for kids and those adults (like me) who still want to pretend they are kids. My husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Having been to a number of science centers across the United States, this small but well curated center offers fun and informative exhibits that appeal to both young and old. Their tinkering studio offers children the opportunity to make and build, using modern technologies. They also offer a wonderful space for toddlers that is immersive and hands on.

I love ScienceWorks. My daughter has a blast checking out all of the cool exhibits and experiments. They're pretty good for birthday parties, too

We like to drop into science works when we have time. The bubble room is our favorite. Great place to bring kids and let them explore and touch things.

Fun and educational place to spend half the day with your kids. Seriously worth the time and money but I would hold back one star for a less then optimal amount of staff on hand. Still great but could be a little better.:)

What a great place this is. Many, many hands on displays where you can experiance the effects of wind, sound, electricity, visual phenomena, and play areas that are just plain fun. Great place for kids and adults alike. You can spend hours here!
