Gorgeous, thoughtful cocktails and good sized library of scotch and whiskey. Citrus granita with the oysters was beautifully paired and the crab roll was ginormous and delicious with a delicate lemony slaw.

I’ve been living in the Pacific Northwest for over 7 years (in Seattle) and have traveled all over Washington and Oregon. I’ve eaten at countless restaurants ranging in price, style, type of cuisine, etc. This is hands down the best dinner I’ve had in all those 7 years! Each dish is meticulously hand crafted by the chefs (highly recommend sitting at the chefs bar/station)! The flavors are complex, layered, and unique. My husband and I shared the arancini, beet salad, scallop crudo and the soft shell crab sandwich. Every single dish was phenomenal!

The craft cocktails were equally as enjoyable with a range of flavors and waves of flavor profiles that came through with every sip. Absolutely incredible, we will be back every time we visit Portland!

Highly recommend planning your visit here and making a reservation. We did not make a reservation and waited 90 mins to be seated… although I’d do it all over again to eat that meal!

Honestly this is such a hidden gem. I had no idea this place even existed and randomly stumbled upon it bar hopping one night and decided to give it a try. It's not very well defined of where it is. You open this old metal door and go into a basement. Once down there you are greeted with this amazing cocktail speakeasy type feel establishment. Only had drinks and they were top-notch! They were fairly busy but got some seats at the bar luckily. The bartender was personable and great to talk to. Made conversation with the folks next to me and they come here every time they visit Portland. Clearly, I had just been missing out!

Such a cozy little tucked away speakeasy. They really let you take your time and try lots of dishes. Drinks were fantastic and the pasta dish was to die for.

This small underground venue has an amazing selection of whiskeys. The decor feels exactly like an old world Library, a perfect atmosphere for sipping whiskey. In addition to that, they have a selection of appetizers, and some larger plates. We got the Penicillin, best one I have had, fried brie, as well as a couple of 1 oz pours. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and nice. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

Phenomenal. The ricotta toast is original and incredibly delicious, if a bit difficult to eat. Just commit to being a bit sticky and silly looking while eating it and enjoy every delicate flavor.

Top notch craft cocktail bar. They entrance is undefined. They have minimal food. Go for the drinks. Walk-ins are hard. They joint is popular. The good news is that they take reservations. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.

What a great place to find a new whiskey or have your favorite scotch. I had a flight of Japanese whiskies and the found dove very tasty ones indeed. We had appetizers that finished the tasting.

One of the finest places to drink or dine in Portland. They just don't miss. Perfect for date nights or a night you want to impress your friends or family. The cocktails and food are out of this world. The ricotta toast was one of the best things I've ever tasted.

In 2019, I rented out Scotch Lodge for my wife's 40th birthday celebration. Working with the owners and staff was a pleasant experience.

At the time, they had not established any packages for private events. However, the owner seemed genuinely excited to host the party and worked with one of his employees to put something together. I communicated directly with the owner and another member of management on a food and drink menu and some other party logistics. The process was great.

On the day of the event, we found that the staff had added some decoration to the space for the party, which was an unexpected treat. I am sure it was not a significant cost in material or time to decorate, but it was a surprise and a nice touch.

The staff was wonderful. I had several people comment on positive experiences they had at the party. I have found this to be true when we have been there on other occasions as well.

As for the food; the food was good but not exceptional at the celebration but the food at the party was not exactly the same as what is on their regular menu. Additionally, I have not ordered food on other visits so I cannot make a fair comment on their normal menu.

Overall, would highly recomend.

Tried coming here before but it is a busy place so couldn't get in. Finally was able to visit with a few friends and it was excellent!

Drinks were top notch! The Brussels sprouts were some of the best I've ever had! Our server was great and looked like YouTuber Eddy Burback

SWANKY SCOTCH SPOT

I stopped in her for a drink prior to a reservation at a nearby fave NW French restaurant.

It’s a beautiful and charming location. Their food menu looks fantastic, but I didn’t have any due to my supper plans.

Their spirit menu is EXTENSIVE and I look forward to taking my husband here to try new scotches.

We will make a reservation and come for an evening in the near future.

Wonderful drinks and inventive and seasonal plates in a cozy, speakeasy-esque atmosphere. We aren't big scotch drinkers, and our waiter was able to steer us in the direction of some drinks we might like and find approachable - his recommendations were spot on! It is on the pricier side, but we loved all the drinks and dishes and felt that the prices were fair given the the quality of food/drinks and our overall experience.
Definitely recommend getting a reservation, since the seating area is small and there isn't much of a waiting area.

Listen up! This place was INCREDIBLE! From the service to the food, top notch! We sat at the bar and had the most amazing evening. Watching the bartenders work magic making the most beautiful drinks while enjoying every bite of food that came our way. We ordered 5 different small plates and each one was unique and ridiculously delicious! I would fly back to Portland just to eat and drink here again!

Spending an evening at Scotch Lodge (I spent two during a four day trip!) was the highlight of my recent trip to Portland and one of the best dining experiences I had in my life. Plus the wine, a Pinot noir, was at the perfect temperature.

This place is beautiful, I love the speakeasy vibe. The staff is also really amazing. The food was awesome I highly highly recommend the fried Brie it was heavenly. The dessert is excellent as well. Overall this is an awesome place it's Luxy but chill at the same time with great fare.

It's a home run in every way. They just don't miss. The drinks are terrific, the food is inventive, and the bartenders go above and beyond to make sure your experience is superb. These types of places can often seem pretentious, but Scotch Lodge remains approachable and welcoming.

While the whisky/scotch/bourbon/everything catalog is amazing, the food menu here is the real star of the scotch lodge. Even if you don’t drink, there are great mocktails and great food!
