Shari's Cafe and Pies, Portland OR

Been there 5 times for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. All was very good every time. Food was the best with best servers around and I plan on going back there again and again.

I would have given 5 stars, but the waitress was pretty rude. She got irritated when our party of 4 asked 2 b seated in the lounge area. She also made a few negative remarks that were uncalled for, as well as unprofessional. Other than the waitress, (who acted so annoyed when we asked for ketchup), we enjoyed the quiet setting & the great food. The location was quite convenient coming from the airport, also. Thank U 4 that.

Not the best food but you know what to expect from these restaurant chains. Most underrated item on their menus are the pie shakes. They blend ice cream with an entire pie slice of your choice. Extremely affordable and I’m wondering why I would go to pay $8-10 for a milkshake anywhere else in town when I can get a much better one for $6 here?

Server was very pleasant as well as very efficient! Food was good except steak was somewhat tough and dry. That's why 4 instead of 5 stars.

This restaurant is sending me back to Chicago with a Bang. I will definitely brag about this place cause the food is excellent and the delivery guy was professional and polite. Thanks so much

Came in to pick up my call-in order at around 1. Great customer service! Food was FANTASTIC and portions were large and filling. Have been to Van mall and Orchards locations previously, customer service is okay at best, portions were half the size and food was sub-par. If you are thinking of going to shari's this is the location to visit!

So where do I begin.we showed up and got seated, about 15 minutes later the waitress showed up to offer us drinks. When it came to us finally being able to order we were informed that the fryer was down (keep in mind the host who I'm pretty sure was a manager neglected to tell us this) so almost everything we wanted could not be made, actually over half of the menu is down because of the fryer. Almost an hour before we got our food the burger for my child was not very good and had been sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes so it had gotten cold. The salad I ordered was not worth the money we paid. Basically to sum it up the pie was the only good thing even the drinks didn't taste right. Horrid service and will NEVER return

Sign says “open 24 hours” so I drove back after I checked in to the hotel, only to be turned away because they were closed. Also, you have to navigate homeless tweakers in the parking lot.

Good food, simple old fashioned Diner atmosphere and friendly staff. The Sourdough patty-melt was awesome! Didn't care for the Marionberry pie. Everyone's tastes are different-you might like it.

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience because we had been waiting for another person to join us and our waitress had been to the table numerous times. However, she didn't tell us until the last person joined us to say the fryer was down so the menu was very limited. And, when my burger came it was so dry and the salads are so plain. Also, this was not my first time at Shari's. I would suggest full transparency upon any customer's arrival.

Well I just wanted a nice dinner. I went all out and ordered the prime rib. It was more fat and gristle than meat. Pretty chewy. I didn’t expect it to be perfect but.not worth it. The broccoli was over cooked and little teeny pieces. My salads lettuce leafs had brown edges and there was water in the bowl. I don’t suggest this place.
Shari’s has been better at other places.

Ordered on line, went to the pickup spot and called the number - it rang for 3 minutes before disconnecting. Went inside and had to wait several minutes before someone even noticed that I was there. I most definitely will not be ordering on line again, I'll wait until I have time to eat in.

This place is just below okay. The staff they have are okay. Felt a bit rushed to leave not sure if it was just humor. Had ordered take out and was missing an item from the order and had to drive back to pick it up.
Food quality was good, nothing fancy and not gross.

Dinner of stuffed hash browns was innovative, tasty also. Scrambled eggs were average. Marionberry cream pie was excellent, but tiny pieces. The low rating is because the carpet was filthy, and there was a blob of syrup under our table, making for sticky shoes. Our server went on break mid way through, and we had to find someone else go get us paper towels to clean off the syrup. And then to get take home boxes. And again to get our bill. A bit annoying.

Was not pleased by the waitress and her care less attitude. I took myself out on me time and really wanted to enjoy steak and games.she never stated that I could not play while eating as it had always been no problem so I asked to get my meal to go, and she said she would bag it to go for me, however she put the container beside my food and left it to get dried out and cold.needless to say, I won my game on a good hit while she received this poor rating for horrible job done.

Waited over an hour for food that never came. Our waitress was amazing she communicated that there was an issue in the kitchen and continued to check on us to make sure we were ok which we appreciate but we ended up finally just leaving cause we don't have all day to spend having brunch at Sheri's.

Came in to make a to go order and the lady was acting really rudely, I already looked up everything I wanted online and mid sentence she walked away:/

Dee Dee was super. Because of her friendly and kindness we had all ours meals only during her shift for 4 days of our stay, the 5 stars are for DeeDee.

We stopped in here for a bite after being picked up from PDX. I wish I would have held my appetite a little longer. A McDonald's egg McMuffin would have been a better choice.
Food was super boring and bland.
