Shari's Cafe and Pies, McMinnville OR

This place is a serious joke you come in to get your doors dash order and the waitstaff just ignores you and make it feel like it’s an inconvenience when you ask for your order and they’re aren’t even really busy at the moment and you just Sit here and have to tell customer there food they ordered here isn’t a priority even they prepaid for it if you don’t want to use DoorDash just stop suisng it and stop upsetting people

Disappointed. They aren't ever very fast, but today was the worst service we have ever received there. We got our drinks, but when it came time to order, nothing. It wasn't busy, the waitresses were cleaning tables, they would look up at us and then move on. It was very odd, we seemed invisible to everyone. So we got up and went to pay for our drinks. They apologized and didn't charge us for the drinks, but we weren't there for drinks, we wanted to have dinner. On the plus side we did find a nice restaurant that we wouldn't have normally stopped at.

The food was awesome. However the service left much to be desired. Items were forgotten and the server had to be called over, she had not come to see if we were happy with our meal or need more to drink.

McMinnville Sherri’s is soooo hot no AC been there 3 times and walked out because of the heat! I would rather get take out somewhere else!

I got the WORST food poisoning of my life when I ordered an omelet. Literally one bite and I was throwing up and crapping all night, so much so I broke multiple blood vessels and looked like Freddy friggin Keuger. I actually went back just to see if it's a fluke (I like to punish myself ig) and the plate had food on it!
Will not be going back and highly don't recommend

First time here since 2020. This place is disgusting, get a better meal at McDonald's. Soups are a disaster! Waitress gave no attention to issue. Made no true commitment to resolve issue. How about taste your soups before you sell them.

My wife and I decided to stop here for breakfast before heading over to the Evergreen Air & Space Museum. You'll find the standard breakfast fare here. My bacon omelette was loaded with both bacon and cheddar cheese. The hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were filling.

The highlight though was our server Ellen. When I first saw her, I just knew she was a well experienced server. Ellen was attentive and provided amazing service despite being the only server working the entire restaurant at the time. She handled everything in a timely manner. Now let me get back to what I meant by "experienced". We came to find out that she has been working at this Shari's for 35 years. You read that right, 35 years. Her personality really showed how much she enjoyed her job. So, if you go, be sure to say hello to Ellen, and hopefully you'll get the privilege of sitting at one of her tables.

It's fine. They've really limited their menu choices. Waitstaff was great. Food took a little too long to arrive. Found out Wednesdays are free slice pie days with paid entree.

Petra was an amazing server as usual. Our steaks were pure perfection, baked potato slightly overdone but still delicious. I do prefer the later time to go in for this reason.

Staff are good people. But I'm thoroughly disappointed in the huge reduction in portion sizes. And also, just like another reviewer mentioned, they are using aged and oxidated avocados. The attached picture is the loaded fries appetizer for $7.99. It is clearly now a "small plate" portion size with full plate pricing. I'm sure this is a policy, among other things at all Shari's locations as a result of the last 2 years. Come on, Costs can be cut without alienating the customer.

Each time we get food here the avocados are disgusting. They are visibly brown so there is no excuse for them to serve (let alone charge extra for) this rancid-tasting stuff

They let me dance throughout the restaurant and my order was fast and tasted amazing. Had a great chicken fried steak and eggs. Twas nummy

Always great service and good food the only thing is I think it's weird in a omelet they put all ingredients on top of it not inside but still is yummy!

This is the sharis that all the other ones should take notes fronoticeable! And everything you want in a sharis. Staff is clearly trained also, always noticable!

Nice waitress. Ordered the salmon and it was a bit under cooked. The manager was apologetic saying it was a new chef and cut the cost of the plate on half. Otherwise don't let that stop you from going there.

Incredibly slow service. To be fair, their servers always seem frazzled and overworked. And we’re usually there for late night snacks when they’re more short staffed during then they are during the day. All of that being considered, the service is always remarkably slow, and most times we can only get attention from the wait staff after I’ve gotten the attention of a server or manager.

The take away: the food IS good, however don’t come here if you don’t have time to just hang out for an extended period of time.
