Shari's Cafe and Pies, Keizer OR

Hello, I ordered food at your Keizer Oregon location and when I received my food, I checked to make sure all of the food items were present before leaving. Everything was there, I got back to work and the stuffed hash browns for both plates was filled with horseradish sauce. When I called and asked if that was supposed to be, Beatrice said no and that I can write her name on my receipt to get my food remade. I wanted my money back as the hash browns aren’t palatable and she said you have to bring your receipt back to us to get that. The attitude was terrible, the service was even worse and this was the worst mistake coming back to your establishment after almost 20 years. I grew up in the McMinnville restaurant as my parents frequented that establishment. It’s such a shame that customer service has gone so far downhill. Good luck keeping that 2.0 store open. It deserves a much lower rating.

I have visited this restaurant in the past but will not be returning anytime soon. The dead and dying grass, shrubs and trees greeted me as I entered. So sad that this sorry looking restaurant is in the heart of Keizer. The interior of the restaurant is grimy looking as well. Food was edible but I wondered how sanitary it was after seeing how they care for the inside and outside of the establishment. I don’t plan to return anytime soon until they make some big changes.

Horrible experience! The waitress was by her self and handling dirty dishes then handling plates of food without washing. Took about 10 minutes to notice my order was up from the kitchen. I will never go back to a Shari's after this experience. Much better places than a corp chain restaurant.

Gave Shari's one-star I thought I'd go back and have breakfast with my girl there today and give them another try that was the worst mistake as the food was just disgusting. I ordered eggs over easy and my girl ordered over medium the hash browns were hours old and the eggs look like they were cooked by a 5 year old the toast was smothered in butter that was so old I didn't eat it. We ate half of the money spent and called it a loss. I got sick after I went home a couple hours later and it was fine before I ate here. So be careful this cook is a back yard cook with no skill and she should not be in the kitchen. You may be the next to get sick so eat at your own risk. I have been a chef for 40+ years and breakfast is my specialty. I pack restaurants, not keep them empty. I don't see how they stay in business.
For hire 28 an hour you need help, Sharis could be a great restaurant instead of an empty one. Get a pro, lose the ones that use microwaves and don't take pride in the food they cook. I pack any place I cook at, people love pretty plates, fresh food and they shouldn't have to worry about getting sick from a lazy cook. I recommend a different restaurant till this one gets a cook that isn't going to get someone else sick or worse.

We just went there for pies. We ordered a Lemon Meringue and a deep dish Apple pie. They were both delicious.

If I could give no stars! I would. We came here for lunch today and they served my daughter a dead spider on her fruit bowel. Thankfully she didn't eat it. My frys were old and my grandfather's Denver omelet had nothing in it. My aunts stake salad had one tiny strip of stake the wrong dressing and no veggies. All i could hear the watresses talking about is how they hate luch time because they dont make money. 0/10 I do not recommend. I definitely will not be back.

1st and last time eating here since we walked in waitress was not professional at all and had lots of attitude! I didn’t receive my salad with chicken it took 10 min for the waiter to come back wirh the chicken then had to audacity to say “is this better? ” Didn’t apologize for the inconvenience then slammed the plate when she took it back!

8/2/23@3: 00 Waitress didn’t have any manners nor ask or greet upon entering the building. Also was being very short with answers, seemed very unprofessional about informing customers about mistakes. Definitely needs work on customer service or just don’t work in the food service industry cause man was it a pain just watching the waitress seem so bothered with questions about the food.
The one star rating is because I’m being generous. Y’all need work.

Dropping my son off for his Marine boot camp! It was our last meal together. Kinda dissatisfying. The facility was very filthy and the servers are very disconnected from the customer. Had to race to eat as it took extremely long for the food to be received. I actually ran to the store and back before the food was on the table with my family. It’s kinda ridiculous specially when the meal and 5 dollar tip equaled well over 50 bucks for 3 people. The place was pretty empty as far as customers go. Maybe 5 families there. I give my experience an over deserved 2 stars, as my burger was actually amazing. Also bathrooms were so disgusting!

No management on site. Only two employees are working. One employee is trying to cook and be a waitress. Whoever owns this restaurant doesn't care about customers or employees. This isn't the first time I have had this experience at this restaurant. I won't be going back!

When I walked in at 1230am, I was greeted with a smile, shown to my table and taken care of with courtesy. The food was great, and the wait staff helped me choose a new flavor of tea to try. All in all it was a wonderful dining experience for this noc shift person. I will definitely go back.

The food here is average at best and the service here is frustrating and that is on a good day! We waited a good 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us at the door. When someone finally seated us we were told that we could not sit up front because there was only one server and she couldn't attend to the front part of the restaurant. This isn't so bad in itself but this was not the first time we were told this and not the only Shari's restaurant. It seems that both the south location and the Keizer location can't keep waitresses on staff. I don't know if they are trying to run customers off on purpose or they just don't treat their employees well. Whatever the reason Shari's management needs to get their s$! T together! If you go in after 5 you can only order takeout. Takeout is fine.if they could get the orders right! We have had a few to-go orders and not once did they get them right! Small things like forgetting an order of fries, no utensils, etc.not big things but enough that we won't order to go ever again! When we were served there it took 46 min to get our food. The server was nice, but she was overwhelmed and as frustrated as we were! If you want a good meal with good service Shari's is NOT the place for you.

Despite being severely short-staffed everything was great. I was quickly greeted, seated, and served. The food and service were awesome.

Five stars for all the people working the evening of July 1st. Even with you being short-staffed you had amazing customer service.

Went in for ribs lol but where out. But I had an amazing Turkey, mashed and gravy. Very good and an apple pie alamode. Fantastic and friendly service with a smile too. It was great.

Good food, but nothing special. Pie is good with a great variety.
Edit: Since the pandemic, Shari has really gone downhill. Staff act like they just don't care anymore. Long waits and terrible service. The food potions are smaller, and this includes the pie. The pie slices were about half what they were, and the fillings were about half what they were. I was very disappointed in my last visit. Won't be going back.

Very sad that they are so short staffed but the 2 working did their best and the food was good
