Shilo Inns Tillamook

Hot tub is boarded up and unusable, pool room is growing green algae like stuff on the ceiling and the ventilation is so bad that water drips from the ceiling and makes the room very hot. The beds are super springy and uncomfortable. Walking through the hallways there is a musky/old smell. There were no towels in our room and when we called to ask no one answered the phoneso we walked to the counter and the lady was playing on her phone. When asking for towels and saying we tried calling she said she couldn't answer the phone because she was on her phone then said when another person got off break they would grab towels. There is no breakfast available as posted on the website either, also the restaraunt is closed, so overall not pleased with our stay. Not worth the price paid compared to other shilo inns that we have stayed at, seemed more like a motel 6 rather than a shilo.

Very old hotel, restaurant is permanently closed, hot tub doesn't work, pool want nice, the whole hotel smells musty and the room we had obviously used to be a smoking room. I would say find another hotel, the staff was really good though

We arrived at 9PM and the room still isn't ready how is that possible? We got in the shower was still dirty with what looked like dog hairs in the tub how hard is it to rinse? And the room STUNK of cigarettes.

Check in is at 4pm, we checked in at 9pm and the room still wasn’t ready, not sure why. They probably gave our room away. I asked for two queen beds they gave me a king instead. The room and motel stink like cigarettes and something sour n dirty. Also, they do not clean the rooms well, there was nasty hairs all over the tub. Definitely will never be coming back.

You can’t check in because the front desk staff is off cleaning the rooms at 7pm at night. The owner needs to hire some staff for this place. I would never go there ever again. There is no breakfast other than coffee and a prepackaged muffin.

Carpets HORRIBLY stained and sticky. The faucet knob in sink was broken. The mattresses were sunken in so we tried to flip it but they are no flip mattresses. The hot tub was closed. Not a good experience for 200 bucks a night.

When I asked about a diabetic option we were told their truck did not deliver on time however they did also serve vegan cookies as well! Not a fan of vegan desserts for breakfast! We were told we could buy something in their convient-deli store.

Breakfast is a joke. Good beds. Landscaping is terrible. A swimming pool is like being in a cave due to the terrible lighting and water is still what makes me feel strange.

Service & rooms fine. No noise which is a plus. Cow methane heavy in August -a given in Tillamook - not a complaint. No hot tub so should take off their amenities. Solid 3.5 or 4.

I wasn’t going to make this review until I checked my bank account and saw extra charges even though I was promised I wouldn’t be charged. Booked this place because it says pet friendly. Checked in fine, went to our room. Went out sightseeing and got a call from the office saying that my cats were not allowed. Had no idea since they say they’re pet friendly and was charged extra even after talking/apologizing to the front office.
Also, when I went to plug in my cellphone behind the side table, there was a vibrator sex toy plugged into the socket and I TOUCHED IT not knowing what it was at first. It was not clean. Revolted, I put it in a brown paper bag and took it to the front office where, again, they promised to discount my room due to the nature of the situation. Again, nothing was done and I was charged extra. This isn’t how you run a hotel or any business.
The front office staff was very nice but they need to be more observant of their rooms and keep their complaints handled better to avoid these kind of negative reviews.

Extremely un satisfied with our stay. Paid $500 for 3 nights even with “military discount” first issue was I booked with another group and was told our rooms would be adjoining, then at check in got told they don’t offer that. Yet it’s on the website and was confirmed when I called to inform them we were together. When booking it stated there was a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Pool was a joke, hot tub and steam room were closed and unsafely boarded off. Rooms were in need of major updating, carpet was ripped in spots causing my toddler to trip over it every-time we went in and out of the bathroom, shower had nasty rust spots and missing tile pieces. Beds were horribly uncomfortable and the blankets were not much thicker than the sheet. Don’t get me started on the musty smell. The lamp between the beds had a loose nob to turn it on and off that worried my kids would get shocked. The breakfast was all sugary muffins, rotten apples, cookies and bottled juices. Then no tables to sit and eat at outside the room so of course my toddler made a mess with muffin crumbs as normal kids do…. So on our second morning there I asked for the room to be vacuumed and the trash be taken out when we headed out for the day and the front lady got an attitude and said they don’t clean the rooms during a stay only after check out. The lady told me if I wanted it cleaned I had to vacuum myself then seemed mad when she had to call her manager to get permission for me to use it. Then told me I had to put my trash cans outside my room. I don’t think anyone in the hotel appreciated my bathroom trash sitting in the hall with diapers and other female things in it. Overall not worth the stay and definitely not worth the $500!

I came to town for the county fair and ended up getting stranded due to my car breaking down and needed an emergency place to stay. Sara went out of her way to make sure I had a place to stay and even helped to ensure I could get back to the fair the next morning. After some of the most stressful and frightening hours of my life Sara showed me immense kindness in my hour of need. Yes the hotel is dated and the rooms could use an update but that's to be expected when staying in a small town. Overall the hotel was perfectly fine and clean, I would stay here again if I were in town again

The the room smell very musty. Food was also left in the fridge from previous guest. It's was also not very clean in the rooms. They no longer have a hottub and don't really have breakfast. It is just grab and gon

We arrived at the ocean late at night. And this is the closest hotel that worked at night. For us, this was a big plus. It is old, but worked at night, there is hot water. For us it was enough for one night. Nearby there is Safeway and Fred meyer.

Needed to call front desk about noise above our room late. For the price we paid they could have had better breakfast.
