show bar reviews
15I was there Thursday for a show and when I walked in this weird bouncer said "can I help you big guy? " I am very big, but that's not what you say to a big person. He was super incel vibes with a gross leather jacket. Never had someone make me so deeply uncomfortable after walking through a door
Really want to love this place (I love Rev Hall and Miss Studios), but it's just a terrible setup. The space is so long and narrow that if there are more than 50 people there you won't be able to see a thing unless you're in the first few rows. Maybe if the stage was like 2 feet higher?
Went for a live band.
Burger and beer was great.
Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
The venue area was small, very little seating.
Really grumpy bartender. Condescending and rude. And then the drink was bad. Great spot for a performance, but a terrible spot for a drink.
Great place to grab a bite and drink before a show but beware the cheese on the burgers. Tasted like a crafts single.
It's great to be able to combine dinner and attending a concert.
The cheeseburger and fry combo was well above average bar fare. Een better that they have GF buns. GF folk need carbs for dancing energy too!
There's several dietary accommodations here.
I do recommend!
Had a delicious bacon, tomato, arugula egg sammich, and cocktail while enjoying the September sunshine on the rooftop.
I would not recommend this place, Bartender Gal was rude not friendly at all, looked upset when asked questions about drinks, would never go back, and food was gross. (If yours from Seattle Washington, don't go here, look for better place to join a beer.
I went to the 80's Video Dance Attack here. I liked it better in Lola's Room. This venue is too small
A great spot if you’re seeing a show at Revolution or just in the area. The monthly burger (August 2023) is a vegan chicken burger with spicy “Cheeto” dust on it. It’s pretty fun and not too spicy. Good selection on tap. The view from the rooftop bar is the real prize here and offers a great spot to see the Portland skyline.
Great venue. Service and signage could use some tweaks.
I went to Show Bar for an event. After parking, I followed signs for the Main Entrance. There are lots of doors, but they were all locked and I ended up walking around most of the perimeter before I found the right door. Hint: it's NOT the one labeled Main Entrance. Enter through the outdoor bar at what looks like a bussing station.
The person who checked my ID was pretty unpleasant, but maybe they were having a bad day? Overall, I felt over-controlled and under-informed. It's a great venue once you figure out where to go, just maybe ask another patron instead of staff.
Picture is of a small space off the main bar area.
My friends rented the event space for their wedding party. Great room with a stage for live music or a DJ. The food was fine. Served buffet style. I'm sure that they have plenty of options. There are multiple bars in the building including a roof top bar with fifth floor views of the surrounding area. Lots of outside seating on the ground floor as well.
Fair drink prices and the only place to go in-and-out after a concert. The
atmosphere here is a vibe And my favorite part is there patio
The atmosphere is good and the only reason it's 2 stars and not one. I would choose the rooftop bar over the indoor and outdoor seating with Show Bar, but I haven't had luck yet finding seating up on the roof.
The service is kind of slow. The bartenders are pretty scatter-brained so it's likely they'll get your order wrong. I've been here twice and my order was wrong both times. First time I asked for the egg mcmorton with bacon and I received it without bacon. I wasn't charged for it so I didn't say anything. I gave them another try tonight and the same thing happened. I got the burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce. I didn't get the onion rings. I tried to talk to the bartender but I was being charged $6 for onion rings when the upcharge would have been $2. The food is not good. The egg sandwich was VERY salty and that was the only flavor; in hindsight, I'm happy I didn't get the bacon bc it would've been saltier. The burger was just sad, just super dry, not seasoned well, and definitely not worth the $9.
The drinks are ok, nothing special and a bit overpriced.
Overall, if you want better food I'd go across the street to Grand Fir and if you want better drinks I'd go to Beer across the street.
