Silver Dollar II reviews
23Place is fantastic! Drinks proper and pizza yummzzz! Games plus a bit of greasy peeps makes for a hilarious time.the bar tenders ALL ROCK! -From Holland with love.
Clean, better than average bar food (nigh bistro in some respect IMO), and 3 excellent pool tables - 2 full size.
Average service and average food, ambience is good, and of course it is very clicky and the bartender spent a lot of time talking to and tending to the regulars despite my tips, I waited for service quite a bit and had to ask twice. Meh.
They've got good food and good pool. The location is kind of annoying, but when you get past that it's a good spot.
Bartender was a bit short with us, we had to ask for a menu but the food is cheap and thats all i was really looking for when i came here
It was okay. The service was fast but it wasn't that friendly. I came in alone to grab a cider and a piece of pizza on a Saturday night. The pizza was pretty good but definitely not worth the money. I don't think I'll be back only because the experience wasn't that great and the food wasn't worth the money.
It's a bar. It has all the basic bar amenities including a pool table and serves all the basic bar food. There are rotating cider selections for the beer-free and the usual selections of various hard liquors for anything else. If you're just looking for a reasonably bar-like bar, this will do.
Great food! Table games, Lottery and a 'Hot' selection of Jukebox Music.all in one spot! Seated in downtown Portland. 19 N. W. 5th Avenue, 97209 is a great Easter egg, hidden within the city. Not far from The City Grill. If you haven't visited The Silver Dollar II, then make some time to try this restaurant.the food alone is worth it!
The hamburgers there r to DIE for! They have board games, video games AND video poker. On Halloween u can go & carve a pumpkin. I THINK, NOT 100% sure, they supply things. Just gotta sign a waiver n case u decide to carve yourself instead!
Super cool, didn't know it was there! Stopped in w a friend and had a cup of coffee. Woman behind the bar is super nice, professional and accommodating. I was watching deluxe food constantly rolling out of the kitchen, that will have me back for a taste test or 2!
Good place to catch a game, nothing fancy, lots of big screens - located on the edge of the Pearl District
Best happy hours downtown, as far as cheap pints go.and one runs 10p-12a! Dog and sketchbag tolerant.
Staff is rude ordered wings walked in and got yelled at for using the bathroom not sure why but it might have something to do with me not matching the local demographic wings are usually ok tho
The Silver Dollar is a great place to have a happy hour get-together with friends or coworkers. They have inexpensive happy hour specials and a decent selection of beer. They always have enough seating through the week, plus the noise-level is low enough that you can carry on a conversation. That's a big plus for me.
Don't expect gourmet appetizers, but what they serve is good and reasonably priced. (I love to get a good IPA and soft pretzels.)
Service is fast, friendly and helpful.
All in all, this is my favorite happy hour stop in downtown Portland. One of the few honest, neighborhood bars left.
Went for the pizza, stayed for a drink. Chill bar when I was there, which was early evening. The bartender was friendly, you can tell this place is full or regulars, which she knew the names of well.
Had good and welcoming conversation and a decent old fashioned while waiting for the pizza.
Will probably go back for a night adventure and see how it is. A good place for pizza and alcohol. Will go again.
I like this place has plenty of space to move around. Plenty of TVs for sports viewing. It's moderately noisy from the chatter of people around you and the TV's. I really like their options for happy hour. Pizza, chicken wings, sliders, etc.the top and cocktail list provides a good variety but is not extensive.
Nice bar with a good happy hour. They’ve got three pool tables, some video poker and a basketball shooting game.
Nice and roomy, pool tables, a bar, friendly staff, decent bar food, and currently not overrun with suits during normal lunch hours. In downtown Portland, that makes this a keeper. I found out about Silver Dollar II only a few days ago when my co-workers and I did a group lunch. I'm definitely coming back.
This place rocks!
As a blk women in Portland I feel safe here, I feel welcome. All the staff here welcomed me. They put out a chair's and a table out for me so I could sit outside and enjoy my drink and the fresh air.
The space inside is open. Lots of seating. It is wheelchair accessible.
Great spot for singles, couples or groups.
Was empty on Wednesday. I went for pool tables. There were some.
But didn't fit me. Nice location and nice interior. Doesn't hurt to check it out.
