Sisters of the Road Cafe reviews
8Was a nice place until they started to treat people wrong and pay their employees when they weren't open
I was in Portland, Oregon a few years ago. The one places that I fondly remember is Sister of The Road Cafe. The food is always delicious, and they have coffee! Win win.
I know many of people, a lot of them homeless. That have gotten a good hot meal here, just have to volunteer, couple hours. With the way the pandemic is, and was. They were a mainstay, through it all. It is good to have caring people, that can provide a good hot meal, it the winter, to these unfortunate souls, great humane job Sisters!
Love this place because I've been going there for years no. I also love the people that work there as well
It's a good place for homeless and low income individuals and families to get a meal and do barter work to get a meal if you don't have a meal ticket.
Good alternative place to eat. Awesome perspective on community. The share plan works great here, people can help out for a free meal or use their own food stamps to get a punch card or just use your cash. They usually have 3 main option for each meal with several option to combine with it. Must go in to make reservation n be back in time for it (I think you can call for reservation too) and some homeless people (acceptable one's) prefer this place because of restaurant atmosphere, menu options and cheap prices.
Always got sick after eating.they used too many cleaners, and I got fed but sick after every time
While I appreciate the service that Sisters offers and I realize everyone moves at their own pace I seriously wish you would reconsider allowing someone who can not follow basic instructions to work the register.
