Slick Licks reviews
7Some of the best non-dairy options I have ever had. They always have new and interesting flavors so there's always something to try.
While it’s a little saddening to no longer have soft serve ice cream here, they at least finally switched ownership and are no longer selling through a weird vending machine! Plus, the dairy free options still slap.and there’s no where in town that I’ve been able to find dairy free that isn’t just a fruit sorbet. I have never seen DF pumpkin “ice cream” ever either.it was delicious!
The vanilla peach ice cream was really good! Loved the oat milk based ice cream, and I'm not even a dairy free person!
My husband and I were craving ice cream, Salem is pretty slim on the pickings when it comes to ice cream, so we decided to try something new and fun sounding. Slick Licks sounded like just the place, and we have been to Fork Forty before, and genuinely like the place.
Walking in we quickly realized there were slim pickings. We decided on peach vanilla and raspberry vanilla. The peach tasted of slight peach but was super underwhelming. We looked forward to the raspberry one, but it tasted like raspberry water that was frozen and mashed into "ice cream".
Super unfortunate for the person who craves basic ice cream.
They used to always have at least two vegan soft serve options. Now they don't have any soft serve. They just sell pints out of vending machines.
As of today (9/14) I found out they reopened and do serve vegan ice cream again, although I've heard it is not soft serve. I will investigate and update my review after.
Very good milkshake! I got a chocolate cookie mocha shake and it was really good I also liked how they gave me a "milkshake straw" and not a regular straw like most other places do. I will return to try other items on their menu.
Some of the flavors have been good but multiple times I've been in and there's been no one behind the counter. Just end up standing there waiting. Went in today and the woman walked out as I was going in. Saw her standing by the tree talking on the phone even though the sign said "be back in less than 10 minutes, restocking. " Ended up leaving.
I like supporting small businesses but the small businesses also need to realize that it's the customers who keep them open in the first place.
