Awesome company. This is the only company I will ever use for anything regarding my laptop & home computer needs. I took my laptop to The Geek Squad for a simple repair job & they did nothing but charge me too much & they actually made my laptop worse, I took it to Softserve PC's & they fixed it for free. They totally rock.

With Marvin as my tech support, I know that computer-related challenges are one less thing I need to worry about. He is perfect for folks like me who appreciate high quality service and being able to leave the details to him. Thank you, Marvin!

I just recently found Marvin and SoftservePC even though we both live in Tualatin. My 5+ year old laptop was showing signs of failure, so I purchased a new one on Thursday afternoon, dropped it of with Marvin on Friday afternoon and he had everything transferred and set up Saturday evening. It's been running great and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend him!

I wanted a high end computer built for my graphics needs. I hired Soft Serve due to all their good reviews and the capability to build the kind of computer I needed. Marvin was great at trying to save me money on the components and always offering great advice. In the end he saved me money and did an excellent job building me the computer I needed. I found my computer guy! Marvin has tons of experience, is reliable, trustworthy and really knows his stuff. I would not hesitate to call him next time I need computer help wether it be big or small.

Marvin really helped me through some complex Windows PC issues. I was trying to apply some third party themes and in the process I corrupted the operating system and my P'C would no longer boot. I thought for sure that I had lost all my data but he was able to recover the data on the drive and migrate everything to a new and faster hard drive. He also fixed a ton of configuration issues and driver updates which has resulted in making my PC run like a new machine. I would highly recommend Marvin for any PC issue, large or small. I have worked in the tech industry as a software developer all my life but in all my years of work in that field, I have never encountered anyone on the hardware side that was as knowledgeable as Marvin. I feel that a 5 star rating does not due him justice. He's a 5 plus for sure.

Marvin is a technical wizard. My computer completely died and he was able to recover all the data I wanted and needed from my hard drive. He was very helpful in guiding me to a new computer, setting it up and understanding new basic functions. I plan to use Marvin's tutorial services to gain more computer knowledge. He is punctual, very thorough, very kind, reasonably priced and very professional. After years of getting frustrated by online or phone computer service "technicians", I finally feel like I am dealing with someone who really knows his stuff and cares about fixing things the right way. I highly recommend Marvin for any computer repair or questions you may have.

Softserve PC did an excellent job of saving all my documents and repairing my HP all in one while making it a much better machine for a very reasonable cost too!

They also built me a new work computer that has all the bells and whistles you could ever want, a free yearly maintenance program, and again, at a very reasonable price for the quality of the PC I have now with a nice back up system as well.

Marvin always makes himself for your computer needs and questions, whether it is in home or business service, and I have always found him very reliable and trustworthy.

I was very fortunate to find Marvin Somerton of Softserve PC's, Inc.eight years ago when I had purchased a computer and didn't have the slightest idea of how to transfer files. Knowing that my brother was itching to "try" to fix that situation, I asked Marvin if he would like to have his hands on my computer first before my brother. The result was a smooth transfer of files and programs, and I was able to retain my mental sanity.

This year I had Marvin build me a state-of-the-art PC. My files are, once again, intact. Marvin is an excellent teacher and showed me how to turn on ads if I needed to unblock them. It is wonderful to be able to read news on the internet without those annoying ads popping up, talking when I'm trying to read, or have sound when I don't want it.

Marvin is always punctual, professional, patient, and fair and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make everything right. He recommends backup systems, does maintenance, and takes the frustration out of technical ownership.

Marvin's wife, Rita, makes it easy to schedule appointments. I never have to worry about turning over my PC and data to Marvin. That, in and of itself, is peace of mind.

Highly, highly recommended. I had been struggling with numerous strange computer problems for months or even years. Marvin's rates are reasonable because he works so fast and fixes things so fast that I paid MUCH, MUCH LESS for his multiple fixes than I had to other guys who called themselves experts, and those guys would work for several hours and mess up my equipment and I'd pay those guys for hours of work at a lower hourly rate, but it would cost me much more in the long run, and not just in dollars - in problems, too. Marvin is a life saver. Not only that, his wife Rita answers the phone or calls back promptly, and Marvin has a cell phone, too. Thanks, Marvin and Rita.

Up in the PW Northwest launching another store and bought comptier etc at Best Buy and went to launch and the computer did not work they had messed up the computer Pos and also the receipt printer drivers. And Geek Squad Best Buy in Tigard could not get me into fix for at least 4 days; even though an emergency and sorts their fault at anothe store. Got his name from person waiting in line and called. He got me in and fixed my computer that day so we could be up and running next day for customers. Could not be happier. Really nice person and the best service ever. Thank you!

My previous review was based off of frustration, assumption and a missed call. While digging for info on my stolen laptop, I was able to pull IP access info from my MS account. The IP was listed as attributed to Softserve PC's address. Marvin called me back after I left him a rather harsh voicemail. He introduced himself, and was very calm, honest and ready to assist in any way to help me retrieve my stolen goods, even though I had just left him a nasty VM and a really nasty review here. I couldn't have been more wrong. Probably could have avoided the whole situation if I just read a few of the other reviews. I couldn't see the logic through the flames of my hatred for someone who takes what isn't there with no regret, shame or remorse. After speaking with Marvin for a solid 20 minutes, I feel all those things for leaving the messages I did. I would and will be recommending him for any IT related service my friends in that area might need. He's a stand up, straight forward and honest person who cherishes his integrity. I've been using Softserve PC for over 5 years now. Marvin, the owner, is great! He is extremely knowledgeable and current on the latest technologies (and all the problems that go along with them). Best of all, Marvin is completely trustworthy and honest. He always gives me options to solve my issues and is very transparent about what it will cost. That is why I keep using Softserve year after year.
