Great staff, friendly and efficient. Excellent care by all staff from the moment you walk in the door. They were great about explaining the precautions they were taking because of Covid. I won’t have dental care done anywhere else!

Miss Mary cleans my teeth! She even remembers I need a childs toothbrush. Each person who has helped me in the office is kind and helpful. Yes, I would and have referred family and friends to you. I will continue to do so!
God bless you all,
Gigi

This place is run by greedy, unethical people. On my very first visit, after not having a cleaning in a year and a half, they treatment planned me for a full mouth of scaling and root planing, which is $$$, even with insurance. I have zero bone loss and a few pockets of 4mm next to my molars and a couple 5mm pockets in the very back. All I needed was a good cleaning and most of those pockets would have shrunk, since they were there due to me not having had a prophylaxis in awhile - never had pockets of those depths before. Do your research, people. I did and found this, among other concurring studies and clinical opinions: "Gingival bleeding and 4 mm sulci indicate gingivitis, not periodontal disease. How can you plane root surfaces that are not exposed through bone loss? Further, all gingivitis does not progress into periodontitis. While I understand that the pathogens that are associated with periodontitis begin their destructive work in shallow sulci, definitive periodontal treatment is not appropriate until definitive signs are present, such as bone loss evidenced through periodontal probing and radiographs. Treating disease that does not exist is like an unethical auto mechanic telling me I need repairs that are not really needed, just to extract more money from me. " Also, I got a second opinion down the street, where they confirmed my suspicions that I clearly did not need such an invasive procedure, which could potentially cause harm to my immune system through a flooding of bacteria into the bloodstream. I had repeatedly mentioned that I have an autoimmune disorder to the hygienist at South Salem Dental Care, who doesn't see the connection there. She is clearly being pressured to over-diagnose by her bosses, though, since the whole visit seemed like one big sales pitch for all of the products they sell. I refused a full mouth of SRP but tried to compromise with a partial mouth treatment. They refused, stating that I needed it in my whole mouth, even though I clearly didn't need it at all. They even went so far as to send me a copy of a MODA-approved pre-auth, unasked for. Anyone who deals with MODA knows they barely investigate the diagnoses behind pre-authed procedures. Be careful. Do your homework. Some places have your best interest in mind. This is certainly NOT one of them. Oh, and I know what's coming next. Dr. Sean is going to reply with how all their other reviews are great, implying that I am full of it, when that is a weak argument, in and of itself. Having great reviews from a pool of people who trust their dentist blindly is not going to mean anything, is it? Also, even if every single person who wrote a great review were correct, that doesn't indemnify you from providing incorrect or even fraudulent service to some. Get real. Oh, and don't try to say you don't have me on your books. I don't mention my last name here, so how would you know? You know what would make your responses more genuine and would make you sound more ethical? You could admit once in awhile that your office makes a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes (not to say that this case was a "mistake"). Acting like your service is always perfect comes across as pathological and suspicious to anyone who has ever been in any service industry. It comes across as a lot more believable if you admit something went wrong and try to fix it. Anything else is gaslighting your client base.

My reply: The way my attempt at compromise (procedure on 1-3 teeth per quad instead of a full mouth) was handled by your staff did not give me the impression that any of it was open to discussion, nor was my health concern taken into consideration. I was dictated to that I either comply with this aggressive, by your industry's standards, treatment plan or sign a refusal. I think people need to know that your office does this and it's false to send the message that you allow discussion and compromise. In my experience, you do not always do so.

A couple of months ago I noticed a chip on my tooth (#18) which prevented me to eat food comfortably. A month later a gold filling that I’ve had for 8-10 years came off while flossing. I saw Dr Sean on Thursday, April 5,2018, not knowing what to expect. I’m here to tell you that I was completely impressed with the work done on my teeth. The doctor and staff did a superb job and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great Dentist.

I've always hated going to the dentist, and it had been a few years since my last checkup when I visited South Salem Dental.

They made the visit very easy and smooth, and the follow-up trip to have some cavities done was one of the best dental experiences I've had.

Dr. Reisig cares about his patient's comfort and well being, and I plan to make this office my long term dental care provider.

I have never had bad service from any staff member! They always advise me on upcoming concerns, issues we are keeping an eye on, give me all my options - treat my children (even the one with a paralyzing fear of needles) with total respect and are all genuinely NICE people!
