I should have read reviews before I booked our services here but truthfully I wanted a nice relaxing weekend for my fiancée and I for her birthday and what better way to do that then massages? If you only read this part of my review then please note the services we received were amazing! The massage and the foot soak/massage were not the issue nor were the people giving doing them! Our issue was actually with the owner and it literally started the moment we walked up to the door. Let me explain! I booked both mine and my fiancee services. At the time I didn't know if I was going to leave it a surprise so I only gave my information when they texted me after I left a voicemail. For that reason I only received paperwork for me and not my other half. This made me a tad anxious so we thought we would get to our appt about 20 minutes early just to ensure we had everything done. Also with appt like these I prefer to be early rather then on time because you never know what they need to run you through! Our appt were at 10: 30 on Saturday December 9th. We arrived at 10: 06 and the door was locked. I thought that was super odd. A lady was at the desk opened the door and said how can I help you? We explained we had appointments at 10: 30 but came early due to paperwork and she said it's 10: 06 we aren't even open yet. Now please note the sign outside their door said they opened at 10 am. Their website said 10 am. Google said 10 am. So we both were confused why we were made to feel like we were a inconvenience. She offered to let us come in and sit but again we now felt awkward and like we inconvenienced the spa for being earlier and making them open early when it was clearly posted they should have been open. She sent my fiancee the paperwork and then from there no one really spoke to us until it was about 5 minutes before our appointments. During that time we had the pleasure of looking up reviews and realizing this may have been a common theme. Now both our massages were great! We appreciated they had us start and end at the same time. They prepared a space for a joint foot soak/massage and I appreciate that they allowed for this to be together. They gave us water and a mimosa again very nice touch by the service people. Loved the people doing our soak/massage. We were all having a nice conversation when the owner came over, opened the current and outloud reminder her employees about spa voices. She then looked at us and said other people are here to, thank you and walked away. Now I realize other people are at the spa but I also felt like she made it more about them than us and again we were rubbed very much the wrong way by this. It wasn't like she reminded her staff quietly either. Again the services were great but the owners customer service was lacking. Unfortunately we would likely never come back after the uncomfortable experience we had.

The 80 minute facial with Karen was absolute heaven! Certainly one of the very best I’ve ever had! I’ve had several treatments at Spa Manzanita and they have all been outstanding.

I don't know where to start in reviewing this magical establishment. My mom, sister, and I went there for a girls day. Something my late father wanted us to do to treat ourselves. From booking to actually getting there, everyone was so nice and welcoming. The services I was able to complete were amazing. Unfortunately, halfway thru my day there, I had a legit emergency that called for me to go back home to Hillsboro (We had to put my almost 15 year old dog to sleep). Not wanting to interrupt the rest of the day for my mom and sister, I asked if there was a taxi or uber service in town. Maggie, lovely owner and planner of things at the spa, offered to drive me personally back to Rockaway where we were staying for the weekend. Above and beyond. Caring and amazing. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you, Maggie and Spa Manzanita team

I had not had a facial in years. I do regularly get massages and other bodywork services due to health issues. I was intrigued by their facial that included vagus nerve massage work, since I have become very interested in the vagus nerve for my health problems. We had not had the best start to our anniversary trip and I was very stressed due to my health. That facial transformed the rest of my trip! I plan on coming back as regularly as I can.from Troutdale. That's how much this technique helped me.

Run, don’t walk to experience Spa Manzanita’s Neahkahnie Beach Walk with Patricia. Using natural products from the sea and hot stones, Patricia’s healing hands are incredibly gifted, making you realize the feet that carry us through life are to be pampered. Treat yourself to this spa experience or give as a gift that keeps on giving. Pair with a facial with Patricia and you’ll feel like you’re floating out to sea. Maggie and her staff do an incredible job of making you feel special. Thank you!

My experience with my masseuse, Gina, was excellent. However, the attitude of the front desk staff was very subpar and passive aggressive. Numerous members of my family had similar experiences.

Spa Manzanita is AMAZING. The staff are so friendly and approachable and the owner, Maggie, is absolutely wonderful. I had an incredible massage with Mike. He is seriously special, as are all of the therapists that work there. I recently booked a surprise massage for my husband there, and Maggie went out of her way to help me book an appointment around his busy schedule. He came home so relaxed and completely blown away. Plus, they offer Osea skincare. It's such a high quality line and I'm so grateful to be able to purchase it locally. We are customers for life!

Several members of my family all received treatments there recently and while the estheticians and masseuses were nice enough, the man at the front desk Sam was fairly rude and unprofessional. He spoke unkindly about my group when he didn’t realize I could hear him. The experience was less than awesome and we will not be returning.

I had the best facial here today, it was an amazing experience. The entire facial was so relaxing, and my skin looked better than ever after the session. The people who work here are fantastic and true experts at what they do. Thank you again! I can't wait to come back for another treatment. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a quality facial or massage

I had a lovely 80 minute facial by Heidi. The product line they use is amazing, left my skin, feeling so soft and glowing. Her massage touch was very intuitive, and I felt extremely relaxed, the hot towel, hot stones, steam, and massage techniques were excellent. Maggie, the owner, is a lovely personable woman, and was very helpful and generous when I was selecting some items to purchase. I would highly recommend and will be a returning customer.

I had a facial from Karen that was incredible! As an esthetician myself, it was hard to relax because I kept thinking about how I could incorporate Karen’s techniques into my own practice! Lol I wish I wasn’t going home, so I could come in for another treatment. Thank you so much Spa Manzanita! I can’t wait to come back!

Sam makes entering Spa Manzanita a calm and soothing experience. He is welcoming and sets the tone from the beginning and carries it through to your departure. Shawn Marie not only has a beautiful art of massage, but also truly knows her special art. I recently had a baby and, per my request, she was able to put her knowledge and art into action. She utilized extra massage attention to certaian pressure points, to more than double my milk supply (not to mention, after I got home and nursed then pumped, I had the best nap I have had since before I delivered our baby)!
Both Sam and Shawn Marie are beautiful souls who made my first time away from our baby a relaxing experience to repeat. Thank you Sam and Shawn Marie! And our little one's tummy thanks you too:)

From the moment you walk through the door, you know this place is special with its calming and peaceful vibe. Maggie, the owner, was fabulous. We were three friends on a girl’s trip and this was one of our favorite experiences. Each of us thought our massage was exactly what we needed and asked for. I can’t recommend this spa highly enough. Just go—you deserve it and you won’t regret it.
