Highly recommend this company, a very knowledgeable gentleman named Michael, who I believe is the owner helped me assess a water leak issue, and was extremely well informed and easy to understand. He didn’t try to come in and sell me on a big job, explained the basics and said do this first, and then go to the next level if needed. He listened to me and answered my questions, and not once did I feel talked down to or dismissed. Definitely glad I found them.

I can't speak to his work, but after his hour-long consultation on the leaky basement of my 1910 house, I'd trust this guy to fix anything. I so appreciated that he didn't try to sell me any services, he encouraged me to do things myself and was willing to walk me through it. If I hired Michael (and I'm sure that time will come) I'm sure he would quickly become a friend. Seems like a great guy and the contractor who is truly on your side, I'm certain you can always expect honesty from this guy in whatever job you're needing. Very impressed! Contacted this company as a candidate for our house-bolting job. Said they'd come and do an assessment for a fee (reasonably enough), but then added that regardless the condition of our existing foundation they wouldn't bolt our house to it unless they first demolished that foundation and replaced it with one of their own new construction. Despite the fact that our existing foundation is in fine shape, every other bidder was happy to bolt the house to it. Requiring a full foundation replacement sight-unseen just to do this simple quake retrofit verges on crazy-pants, so of course we said no and looked elsewhere. But points for honesty and transparency here: they were upfront about all of this over the phone, and thus afforded us the opportunity to decline prior to the inconvenience and expense of a site visit.

Michael was super helpful and knowledgeable. Really helped me out when I was in a pickle. Straight forward, no nonsense, 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Quality work - done right.

We had a bad experience with our previous contractor. While they appeared professional and reputable, they knew very little about what they were doing and left us with a newly rebuilt porch that wasn't waterproofed properly and still leaked.

Michael and his team took the time to work through this seeing what went wrong and why, even getting back to older issues from our house that had been introduced earlier. Each time we hit a challenge, he was able to work around it and come up with a solution so we'd have a better built porch that won't leak. Everyone we worked with was both extremely knowledgeable and would take the time to explain the hows and whys of what they were doing. We were a bit hesitant after our previous experience and this made us feel like they are still contractors out there who care about doing great work for a fair price.

My house is 100 years old and the foundation has it's 100 year old issues. Recently with all the rain I noticed a significant amount of water pouring in through a newly formed hole in my foundation. I phoned Space Down Under and spoke with Michael the owner. He explained he could come over to fix it but could save me at least $500 if I wanted to do it on my own. He explained how and where to get the materials. Then $15.00 and approximately 1 hour of my time later and the leak was fixed. Thank you Michael for your help, guidance and saving me money. Really appreciate it!
