Space Monkey Coffee, Portland OR

Consistently disappointing. If we put in an online order, they'll ignore it until you come to pick it up. If you order a chai latte, they'll forget the chai. If you order a sandwich, one of the ingredients will be bad. I keep trying to give them a chance and they've made a mess of my order the entire year I've lived next to them.

If you're here for perfect artisanal coffee, you're at the wrong shop. Space Monkey is great. It feels like you're in the friendliest living room. The baristas know the regulars by name, everyone shares the chargers for their computers, the prices are SOOOO CHEAP. It's a lovely place to get work done and to know your community. Great vegan options, creative pastries, and great soups!

Yummy, affordable and with a play area for the kids. Kid friendly food choices. No changing station though.

The cutest cafe I have been to in a while. The menu has things for straight coffee lovers and also fun items for boogie drinks. I got a lavender latte, the best I've had in a while. The milk temp was perfect, and the flavor was the right amount of sweetness without overpowering. The brewed coffee had two options, and the medium dark was robust without crossing the bridge into a full dark.
The food was made super fast, and while I haven't been able to try it yet, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. 13/10 would recommend.

Over a the years I’d frequent the cafe almost daily. Maybe a year ago staff changed (maybe management too), prices rose, and the coffee has tasted worse.

I still come in every once in a while because I live so close, but regret it every time I do. It’s one of those unfortunate instances of a classic Portland staple degrading slowly but surely until you have to throw in the towel and stop giving it chances.

Carnelian Coffee is close enough and much better that I promise the switch is worth it.

The coffee is really good. Other than the really good coffee, I paid 9 dollars for the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life.

It had been a couple years since I had been to Space Monkey and I had forgotten how much I missed it. Good local coffee, great local space. They have coffee refills.

Outstanding. Friendly staff is actually happy to see you. ONLY PLACE IN THIS TOWN TO GET A REALLY GOOD EGG SALAD SANDWICH. Coffee's pretty good too.

I'm pretty understating with staff because the service industry is a tough job and Space Monkey seems very busy. However the barista here just came off as put out and unfriendly. Which is funny because she was super chipper and nice to a regular that came in after me. My wife had the same experience a month ago as well. Basically I can read loud and clear they don't want new customers, but luckily there's plenty other great coffee in Portland.

Before I had my right one removed. I drank coffee here allot. Doctor said coffee causes colon and testiclular cancer.guess that's how I got mine.

This is the kind of coffee shop we all want in our own neighborhood— super friendly staff, a rich espresso roast, and good breakfast and lunch options. And it’s full of locally-made products for sale. I’ll be back next time I’m in Portland!
