Sparkle Car Wash reviews
4 ETA: I've updated my review to three stars thanks to the owner's polite response where they let me know that the wax/etc were included in the machine's regular wash cycle, so I did get the extra things I paid for.
OG: It's okay. For context, I'm a very nervous and thrifty person, and this is perhaps the third time I've taken my car through a car wash in my life. I asked the attendant for the diamond car wash, which is twelve dollars, and supposedly comes with things like a carnauba wax, wheel wash, and undercarriage rinse. I'm not very familiar with car washes, so perhaps the mechanized wash performed the wheel wash and undercarriage rinse without me realizing. However, I definitely did not get any kind of car wax afterwards.
I couldn't wait at the exit to ask an attendant, because another car was right behind me. I pulled ahead to the vacuum station, wondering if the attendant was going to come do the wax or if I had to drive back around/walk up myself to inquire about it. There really wasn't a designated walk up area and if I'd driven back up, I'd have just been in the line again without a space to turn around and not buy another wash, which I didn't want to do, so I was too nervous to try either of those things, so I don't think I recieved the full diamond wash.
Also, the sign DEFINITELY says free vacuum with wash purchase, which I asked about and had confirmed, but when I went to the vacuum station, it required four quarters to operate. I only had two, and only was able to operate the vacuum thanks to another kind customer who happened to be nearby and willing to give me an additional two.
On top of that, there is still an irritating bit of plant matter stuck to my windshield that I now must scrape off myself if I want gone.
Two stars because the majority of my car is clean now, even if there are still some noticeable spots, and 12 dollars felt like a reasonable price for that, even without the extra stuff I think I missed. I will probably go to a different car wash in future, but I think this place would be fine if you aren't as easily made nervous by things like "asking for the service you paid for" as I am.
My company has card was not working and it only took 2 minutes to wait to find that out.
They ended up just giving me a free wash!
The facilities here and the gas station are extremely clean an welcoming as well as the employees!
The friendly attendant spent extra time spraying the bugs stuck to the front of my car & the vacuums really sucked. What more can one expect from a car wash besides getting a clean car inside and out? The friendly attitude was a welcome bonus.
