Sparky's Brewing Company, Salem OR

Sparky’s has really good food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. I love their waffle fries, dipping sauces, pizza, and burgers. They have a huge selection of beers and other beverages too. They are great for those who are gluten and dairy free. It’s one of our Salem favorites!

We arrived around 6 pm on a Friday, the place was about half full, but people were rolling in and became full very soon. The food was really good and tasty, I had the quinoa ball with chicken, and it was really big and really good. My husband had a burger with cheesy fries, the burger was huge. My son had a pretzel and it was twice as big as his head. Did I mentioned that the portions are huge?
The bear was good as well, we only had one lager, or the pilsner.
The waitress were nice and attentive.
We asked for coloring sheets, they didn't have any but got me some blank papers, and my kids were happily drawing while waiting for the food. Which arrived really fast.

I have no argument with food. HOWEVER. I ordered a bloody Mary for my wife with explicit instructions to make it not so spicy. The input was acknowledged. Then the drinks arrived and the bloody Mary was too spicy. The long island had zero alcohol. We paid close to 20.00 for both. When I brought it to the attention of our waitress, I got the old chewing gum reaction. She then tells me that they don't have the alcohol for a true Long Island and they have only one mix for bloody marys.

I went to Sparky's Sunday, 10/9/22, at 8: 07 p.m. It was my first time. I went to grab a menu but the bartender came up to me and told me they were closing. Ths sign on the door, which said they close at 9 p.m. On Sundays, and half a bar full of people with food and drink told me otherwise. I guess "some people don't want to work. " Unwelcoming was my first and only experience of this place.

Cool atmosphere and theme! Staff was very friendly and checked if we needed anything multiple times in the short time we were there! Menu is simple yet covers a decent range of options for food and a great selection of beers and ciders. The food though. DELICIOUS! Huge piece of chicken on the chicken burger. Amazing flavor on the blue cheese burger and the cheese fries will have me coming back soon for more (definitely recommend that upgrad). It was my first time there and might be my new lunch spot when I'm in salem. Highly recommend Sparky's for food and drinks!

Limited menu. Seat yourself, order at the bar, and food is brought to you. Good beer selection.

The atmosphere was great! We had the Maui Wowie pizza, it was just ok. Which is the reason for the 4 stars. The canadian bacon was large chunks and tasted more like a ham steak chunks versus canadian bacon. Which neither of us liked. The pinapple, bacon bits, jalapeño and onion were really good. The spice level was intense and it wasn't from the jalapeño, it tasted like cayenne. I think it should come with a spice level warning or something. My husband had a beer and I had the lavender lemonade cocktail and they were both delicious. Will definitely be back but will skip the firery hot pizza next time.

First time at Sparky's. Food was excellent. Beer selection was pretty good too. We are ready to plan our next visit!

Maui wowie boneless wings were delicious! Staff were friendly and dining area was clean. Lots of beer on tap and other drink options.

Love the food and drinks but if their closing time is 9pm, they shouldn't be turning people away at 8: 20pm just so the workers can get off early.

Didn’t feel welcomed one bit. Girls were snobby and not friendly. Made ordering a drink not the best interaction.

Wow! On our way to AZ and stopped in Salem for the night. Our server Natalie was amazing with the selections she made for us. The beer’s and the Maui Wowie burger was above and beyond good

Awesome spot. A great selection of beers on draft. 25 to 30 taps great. The food was fantastic. That pretzel was perfect. Light crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Cheese sauce was very good. The fries with all those sauces that come with it were awesome. Great idea especially for sharing. Staff was very friendly. Definitely will come back here very soon.

Nice open space brew pub right off the 5 fwy in Salem. Really delicious menu with great vegetarian options. Wide array of beer choices too.

This is the WORSE PLACE EVER FOR LUNCH we sat there for @ least 15 minutes.wasn't even ACKNOWLEDGE & whole we waited a few minutes longer there was only 2 girls working they stood @ the bar talking I don't know about DINNER but SONT DO LUNCH!

We were lucky enough to find this gem of a place passing through Salem on a weekend adventure. We LOVED the fry roulette. So fun. All the sauces and the variety of fries was great. My better half loved his beer and the service was great. We definitely would recommend and went to go back!:)
