Spinner's, Gold Beach OR

Local who has been going to spinners throughout my life and has always enjoyed the shrimp scampi with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Husband and I went recently after new owners took over and it was the best I have ever had. They took the classic, beloved dishes and have elevated them. Fresh focaccia bread instead of rolls with the same herbal flavoring, rosemary oil and vinegar which we have always looked forward to, the veggies were the freshest I have ever had and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Thank you guys!

We went there on Tuesday when they featured a lighter menu. I didn't like the option I chose, which is rare for me. Megan, our server, was wonderful and the clam chowder, salad and tiramisu were so delicious. At the time of day we were there they couldn't shade the windows and the sun was blinding.

Service was very slow. We were told they are short handed. This seems to be happening at a lot of places. I don't know- maybe some restaurants need to close. Maybe there's just too many of them. Food was ok. We were just passing thru. Wouldn't come back. I look for a decent meal, good prices and service and a nice feeling/atmosphere. This wasn't that in my opinion.

Start off with calling for a reservation, they said they would have availability in an hour and a half for 5 people. We arrive on time, and wait another 10 minutes, no big deal. Looking at the menu, $25 for 1 prawn, 1 oyster, 1 scallop, and 1 piece of cod. $100 for a lobster tail? !? !? ! We waited for an hour when we ordered fish and chip baskets that were $15 for a few bite sized pieces of frozen cod. Kids mac and cheese was shaped like the container it came from. Refills? We got one refill 1.5 hours into our visit. And the waitress, while she was nice, said she asked a few other workers to refill our waters to which they refused. All in all, slow service, overly priced, for below mediocre food. 1 star for a nice waitress.

Not what it used to be. I have loved this place for a long time. Not sure when however they have switched to RR Ranch meat and the prime rib is just not the same. I loved having my choice of 10,12 and 16oz prime rib but now it is only a 12 oz and was tough to chew. The quality is just not the same. My wife had the same experience with her prime rib but hers was over cooked. I sure hope they bring back their old meats…. Sorry Spinners you were so much better….

Our server Conner was dreadful, so unattentive, total lack of dedicated service. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Great restaurant with a tasty menu and wine list. Excellent service. Tried the whiskey steak and the fillet mignon and both were cooked perfect. The shrimp cocktail included huge prawns with nice, spicy horseradish/cocktail sauce.

Interesting experience for sure. Very friendly and unique hosts to welcome you. The cocktail was ok, the muddled cherry in my old fashioned was a little too much sweet. The server was very sweet and attentive. Unfortunately, the $55 crab fettuccine was not good, the pepper and lemon flavor over powered the crab and you couldn't taste crab at all, it was there, but couldn't taste it. The cream sauce was too watery. The initial bread at the table was also over flavored with herbs. Less is more

Went for our engagement dinner, absolutely devine food and they comp'd the desert in honor of the occasion. Very thoughtful. The drinks were dope as well.

This place is incredibly over priced for the quality of the food. We had fish n chips, a burger and a couple salads. All the fish entrees were incredibly expensive. Fish n chips were good but Catalyst in Brookings is much better. The service was very intermittent and slow. The clam chowder was terrible- heavily herbed with thyme and seemed to be made with skim milk, very runny. The house salad had to be chopped once it arrived and was just hard to eat. I work to eat crab, not salads. Don’t recommend this place for the prices.

They had a really good dessert but I was full of indica so I have no idea what it was.had takeout but the inside dining looked legit

Great food at a fair price but what's a seafood restaurant without crab?
A little disappointed but we made the most of it anyway.

This is a popular place in Gold Beach. We went there early and it quickly filled up. I've had too much fish and chips in the past few days and really wanted a simple comfort food, so we both went for burgers and salads. My meat patty was over done even though I asked for medium. The bun was on the dry side. So the burger wasn't succulent to bite into. I didn't finish mine. Credit card security: they do not have wireless credit card machines – the server had to take my credit card.

The service and food here has been great here during our vacation but tonight was not the case. 15 Minute Wait Monday at 7PM, Not bad, we were sat at a nice clean table, but then a 22 Minute Wait before our drink order was taken, 15 minutes later we got our dinner order in.

New paragraph needed to explain the food, my wife had the Crab Fettuccine $55, just cream sauce Spaghetti with some "crab pieces" at the bottom, not happy. I had the Bourbon Ribeye w/Baked Potato and Veggies; Steak was cooked well MR, But tough and fatty. The Baked Potato was steaming and frozen inside, They nuked it on the wrong setting, but the Veggies were good.

They were also out of the Sliders and Clam Chowder which is offered with the entrees.

After the waitress noticed we weren't eating we asked for the check and the waitress kindly took off 50% of which we didn't ask for. We left the waitress a nice tip

The shrimp scampi was great. Had been there many times before but had been a few years. They had, at that time, excellent duck breast. It is no longer on menu, I was disappointed. Things change.

Perfect meal and experience! I have a gluten allergy, and the menu clearly showed which meals were gluten free. I ordered the New York strip, and my husband ordered the chicken pasta dish. They were both great. The staff was professional and attentive while allowing us to enjoy our time to ourselves. The steak was cooked perfectly with delicious seasoning and herb butter. I had the seasonal salad with greens, pineapple, feta and vinaigrette which was so good! We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Spinner's if you are visiting Gold Beach.

Food was incredible. Staff was top shelf and patrons were amazing. Met a nice woman named Kate while enjoying my meal she gave me a big hug as I was leaving I hope I give her one back the next time I pass through.

Prime Rib is the best. Need a better selection of wine, we seem to always get the last bottle.

Fast service, the food was incredible, staff are on their toes and the tables are wonderfully placed. Very satisfied with my time there. Glad I made the trip.

I've eaten there in the past maybe 05 - 06. It was amazing then and hope when I get there in a few weeks. Mem weekend 2023.it will the same and hopefully there will be a table open for me.
