St. Mary's Woods Apartments, Beaverton OR

You always get what you pay for.
St. Mary's Woods and CTL Management were terrible. It was an affordable place to live while we saved up to get a better place. That's about the only good thing about the apartment.
Rampant, recurring, and unaddressed maintenance issues. Terrible neighbors, unsafe area. Sheriff's office was there weekly or more. I don't think this place screens their tenants very well at all.
Sheriff had to break down door in the next building over because of someone who broke in. Another time we got a text telling us to shelter-in-place because a suspect they were looking for was in the area. This is the consistent feeling of living at St. Mary's Woods.
Constant dangerous situations on SW Blanton street with semi-trucks and homeless people living out of RVs. Trash and biological hazards abound as a result.
Mold everywhere. The building is poorly built and you can hear dogs and people fighting through the walls constantly. The floor felt unstable and hazardous.

Don't waste your time or your money.

St. Mary’s Woods is a nice cozy looking apartment complex that sits very close to some great trails including the Tualatin Nature Park which is within walking distance. It’s probably best to walk there, as the two way street leading to St. Mary’s Woods has so many large RVs and broken cars that it’s close to a one way street. It’s a thrilling accident waiting to happen and it looks like nothing is being done to fix this, so there’s plenty of time to move in and feel tense when you drive in and drive out. Living in the complex can be peacefully quiet at times. Maybe for like an hour in the day if you’re lucky. Other times, neighbors will play music as loud as possible and the walls don’t seem to have insulation (that probably wouldn’t stop the vibrations anyway). If you like the feel of being in a movie theater and constantly hearing the reverb from the next theater over, this is the place for you. You can even enjoy this feature at night! I’m not sure when I last had a moment of peace and there’s always a bit of dread coming home, so never a dull moment. Now you could tell your neighbors and management about the noise, and there is a rule about sound not being played loudly after 10pm, but these seem to just be suggestions. This makes St. Mary’s perfect for any frat house. Worried that they won’t allow a lot of people into one place? No worries, this seems to be just a suggestion too and not something they enforce.

Also, don’t forget, marijuana is legal in Oregon. Not that you’ll forget here. People smoke so much that the smell leaks into every apartment. You’ll wake up, come home and leave from the powerful smell of skunks. If you love that, then I’m happy to say the smell doesn’t really go away. Now there is a notice around the complex that you can’t smoke in your apartment and have to smoke in the parking lot, but like the other rules, this is treated more like a suggestion and not something that they really care about. So smoke as much as you want! Everyone else here does.

Also, Trash is picked up regularly. At least from the dumpsters. As for the food people leave on the steps, that just stays for any random animal to pick up and leave around. So don’t be too alarmed if you see bowls or cups of noodles left outside. If it wasn’t there we wouldn’t have stray cats and other animals around, and what good would that be?

This place also has a gym for all residents. And no worries, the smell of smoke will make an appearance there too. You can get a good work out by moving the entry door to air the place out.

And lot’s not forget, a very nice balcony view.

This is the most backwards place to live.you dont pay for the month your starting for rent you pay rent for the month that just ended.their system doesnt work half the time and wont tell you when it does so your rent/credit can be manipulated.the staff isnt the helping type they blame you.wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

My review is specific to the maintenance workers. They are wonderful. Brandon took care of some issues today, and did a fantastic job. He is a pleasure to interact with. He was courteous and efficient. He deserves recognition. Thank you Brandon!

DONT EVER LIVE HERE. Worst two & half years of my life. Extremely moldy thin walls! No amount of heat will make the mold go away. We turned on the heat during the winter because we brought a baby home & there was STILL mold. It grows in the ceilings, near the floor & around the doorswindows. The window seals get it the worse. I’ve had to throw away many clothes & shoes because of the mold. We didn’t bother making “complaints” about the mold because all they’ll do is just paint over it. They worked with our upstairs neighbors to get us evicted. The walls & ceilings are THIN & they have selective hearing & can hear everything. They made complaints outside of quiet hours. As soon as we put in a termination notice, we stopped getting complaints LOL. We haven’t gotten a single complaint or violation the first TWO years we lived here. They played us a recording of our “excessive noise” & it legit sounded like a bunch of white noise/wind. We been been making the same amount of “noise” first two years we lived here & it’s not blaring & made sure to follow their “quiet hours”. But if you make a complaint & label it a “disturbance”it doesn’t matter what time it was When I made a noise complaint, their response was “call security. ” The staff are rude, both the managers & the maintenance. The maintenance/manager talks to us poorly & passive aggressively lectures us. We HAD to ask the maintenance to put on foot booties & masks during a PANDEMIC. We shouldn’t have to ask. There’s trash everywhere, overflowing by all the dumpsters. Residents do NOT pick up their dog poop. Unsupervised children walking/running in front of moving cars. During the fall, the stairwells get filled with leaves & other residents throw their cigarette butts there which is a fire hazard! & the maintenance doesn’t clean it on a consistent basis. They can try to sell you with the pool & gym, but during the winter you’ll be stuck in our moldy unit. They’re more worried about kicking someone out over “bass” through the extremely thin moldy walls, instead of the cleanliness & well being of the residents. Trust the reviews on here & y3lp, don’t live here.

Edit: their response to all the low reviews is “sorry…” you’re not sorry about sht. People been complaining about the moldy thin walls for the past EIGHT years!

It's infested with monsters and I also saw a kid get beaten by the monster called soccer mom

This was a nice place to live the in unit washer and dryer the assigned parking but the stairs had alot of spider webs
The parking on the side of the street is always full of RV's and sketchy things happen over there
The pool was nice the gym is small tho and is always in use at capacity
the amazon hub was very nice
The office was always hard to get ahold of

These apartments are terrible would not recommend. They do not clean the stairs, the stairs are infested with spider webs. I work nights and they constantly have a cleaning crew in the mornings being loud as can be on week days. This is something that could be done on the weekends when people do not work. It's ridiculous I can't get any sleep for work.

I lived here for two years and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Blanton street acts a RV parking where drug dealers and the homeless live. The apartment below me had SWAT break down the door. A standoff with a hit and run driver happend the 1st month I was there. People who don't live there are always dumping garage in our bins and homeless go through it daily. They allow a family to keep there broken down cars in the guest parking taking up one entire row while they string extension cords and air lines across the road working on them. When it was time for me to move I had the place cleaned in hopes if getting most of my deposit back. I re textured, painted and did more than most and I ended up owing. I payed in advance, had a $200 credit each month and this is what they do to you Don't move here.

Been here 4 years stuff breaks quick (a year quick) hella mold grows on the wall. Some of the people in the office you can tell by the way they treat other isn't equal. Also if your dyer or washer go out be ready to wait awhile for a different one, A long while. Some of the maintenance workers are nice. Only reason for one star.

Decent place, pretty environment. But there's cracks in walls and cielings, frequent water shut-offs, out of date appliances, inadequate repairs, out of date phone system, excessively high rent, misleading staff although occasionally helpful. Not a horrible place to live, but incredibly unremarkable.

I've been at this place for three years 2017-2020, and we've always loved it. They are very professional, always quick to respond, and they don't jack the rent up every time you sign a new lease. There is very little extra parking if you have more than 1 car, but that is the only down side I can think of. They are very low priced for having everything you could ask for in an apartment, plus access to a pool and gym. Score!

St. Mary's was a great place to live. Rent is reasonable. The apartments were clean. Maintenance staff helped out quickly. I never had an issue with finding parking. The only reason I moved was to get closer to my job. It's a nice, affordable place to live in Beaverton.

Cheap place for what they charge. The insulation is terrible, black MOLD grows everywhere and it’s your fault, not theirs. You can hear your neighbors all day long through the walls. They lost one of my money orders and told me I didn’t pay. Only thing going for that place is the pool.

Worst customer service I've had. Went in to look at some apartments and the guy was both disrespectful and didnt even allow me to use the bathroom because I'm not a resident yet. Ok, not gonna be a resident here ever!

I have enjoyed the recidency of St. Mary's Woods apartments since I moved in. The apartments are spotlessly well maintained and spick and span.
The staff are kind, thoughtful, caring and all ears.
On the other hand, the apartment complex is so big and vast that it has a 24 accessable fitness which has reasonable fitness materials. The neighborhood is wonderful and it is situated the heart of Beaverton

Been living here for about 6 months so far. The apartment is a decent size, the office staff is friendly and accommodating and maintenance requests are rendered quite quickly. Love having a washer and dryer in the unit and it's a pretty quiet community. Definitely get use out of the small gym, spa and pool. A decent place to live.
