7I love this place I used to work for a Sub Shop so it brings back good memories. Sandwichs are delicious.
No frills, great submarine sandwiches. Older family runs the joint, don't expect a lot of warm 'n fuzzy friendliness.havent tried the teriyaki yet!

Definitely will be back. Didn't know there were any "real" Sub Shops around anymore. Really missed that flavor. Yum! I had what they call the Holiday. Turkey with cream cheese, cranberry sauce and lettuce. Hubby had the Full Boat. All meats and toppings.
Nothing fancy or showy about this place. The sub sandwiches speak for themselves. Been coming here 30+ years. A Portland must-have.
Total rip off!
I ordered 2 things:
Rice & Teriyaki Chicken with EXTRA chicken (paid more for it)
AND
Turkey, Ham & Cheese with extra Mayo
What I got was:
Small ball of white rice, small portion of chicken with teriyaki sauce drizzled on top
A short thin french baguette (except this was NOT bigger than 3 large hot dogs combined!) with NO Ham, ONLY Turkey, 2 slices of cheese and barely any Mayo.the lettuce was wilted, the tomatoes were so thin you couldn't even taste them, there was so little mustard there might as well not have been any on it and I paid OVER $25 FOR BOTH!
NEVER AGAIN
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE, THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO EAT, SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE THEY WILL GIVE YOU A DECENT LUNCH FOR $25!

This place has not changed in years. Iy was less tastier and skipper than I remember. They're still microwaving. I used to love them. It wasn't appealing to sit in, or eat.
