Words are not sufficient to describe my experience with the fine people at Sun Automotive-Oakway. I have a twenty year old car that I’m not ready to part with just yet. I had an electrical problem with the automatic window motor that went deeper into the wiring system. I was given a demonstration of the wiring problem. Terms I understood were used and I felt like I knew what was going on with my car. A new wiring harness was required – none to be had for my old car. Creative thinking prevailed: Brooke hunted down and found a door with the harness intact. Actually, she found two doors; the first harness was unusable, on to the second one. Once the new harness was installed in my car, the windows worked perfectly. During this effort, Brooke and Evan kept in touch with me, and provided me with progress reports on the hunt for a new harness. I am so very touched by the kindness of the entire team at the Oakway location, words are not sufficient.

I took my car here for new brakes and an alignment. When I picked up the car, the alignment was far worse than when we brought it in. We took it back and they aligned it again but back to the way it was when we first brought it in. When we asked for our money back just for the alignment, we were told no. The manager said they already spent too much time on it that they would be losing money. Terrible customer service! If you provide a service and don’t deliver, then you shouldn’t charge people for it. We ended up taking it to Les Schwab and it’s perfectly aligned now. We will be going there going forward.

Sun Automotive is the best. Brought in my wife's Acura, they did a complete inspection and changed the oil. They gave me a list of items that will need service soon and prioritized them. I believe it was Brook who helped us. What a wonderful person. When I dropped off my car in the morning I was given a complimentary ride home. And Ralph gave me a ride home, what a great guy. I have complete confidence in them. If need good honest repairs on your car, this is the place to see

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From the reminder call and text to walking me through the inspection. I went in for a simple oil change and feel like my car got a great inspection. Made a plan on what to do next with a knowledgeable service person. They even vacuumed my car! Thank you everyone at Sun for taking care of me and my car!

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. When servicing your car, you get a free inspection and a detailed report (printed and or emailed upon request) of your car's engine, brakes, power steering and transmission.

I was able to get a timely appointment (called Wednesday afternoon and got a Monday morning appointment). And was able to get a follow -up appointment for the following Monday.
Costs were reasonable, below what I expected.
Everyone is so friendly.

Always great, prompt, courteous, thorough. And I Love conversation with the courtesy drivers that bring me home while I wait!

Great communication and diagnosis of our vehicles problems. The staff kept us informed of everything they found and supplied us with a list of suggested maintenance items they discovered, all minor issues, and did not pressure us to bring the vehicle back to them for these repairs.

Edit: A manager from Sun auto contacted me about my experience and we had a good talk about my whole experience with them. Josh was very apologetic and gave me a refund for the 150 inspection fee for the issue they couldn't replicate. Overall, I'll now say that maybe it was just a bad day. But that bad day in which something simple got missed, could have caused a lot of damage to not just my car, but to me if the tire fell off. So yeah. Fair to middlin and will be leaving old review up so there is some context to this edit.

brought my vehicle in on the 1st or 2nd of august for a basic look/replacement of the fluids, a rhythmic knocking coming from my rear left tire, and a couple other smaller issues.
Positives were, They were fairly communicative during the time they held my car for the repairs and they seemed super professional.
Now the negatives. Besides the price point they gave me for just the fluid exchanges and two inspections of different parts (a tire inspection in which they found nothing (we'll come back to this one) and an electrical test for a bad wiper motor, which came out to over a 1000$. There was also a final estimate for stuff that they recommended for me to get which totaled over 3000$. Seemed a bit steep but whatever, right?

Well now back to that tire. So After charging me the 150 dollar inspection fee to check out the noise on the tire, you know what they didn't check? The lug nuts. I took it into a different shop and not even 15 minutes later they had the nuts tightened and I was on my way for less then an inspection from Sun Auto got me.

So my final recommendation for these guys are. If you have money to burn and don't mind paying for dealership or higher price quotes, and an fair to middling job in which they will charge you 150 dollars for an inspection and not even check the lug nuts on the area they were "inspecting" Go for them. I took my vehicle in to have the engine rebuilt and the A/C fixed. The odometer was 123,020 miles. I had to take it back in after only 1,100 miles for warranty on the air conditioning. After about 3,000 miles from the rebuilt I was back for an oil leak and the distributor was damaged. I suspect that it wasn’t instilled properly. When I got the vehicle back there is a leak coming from the radiator.
****Update *** I took the vehicle back in for the radiator and Sun Automotive made it right. They are doing what they can to keep me as a customer.

They are professional, reliable, courteous, provide me a ride home and come and get me to pick up my car. I trust them.

They are always detail oriented and keep me well informed regarding the hidden conditions of my vehicle. Nothing slipshod about them!

Friendly caring people. Got my car back, they vacuumed, and clean the in side windows. And gave me a free carwash coupon. My car runs like new. Nice to have a business you can trust. I recommend this business.
