Sunny Han's Wok & Grill, Gresham OR

I used to come here all the time as a kid and LOVED their teriyaki chicken. However, I came back today for lunch for the first time in many years and the quality has gone from great to absolutely terrible.

I ordered the firecracker chicken and was extremely disappointed. It was what seemed like boiled or microwaved chicken, no sear marks and was covered in a gloopy gloppy microwaved sweet & sour sauce with chili flakes and chili peppers put in. It felt like something out of a cafeteria or microwave dinner. I have no idea why you would even try to serve chicken that way. There wasn't even any vegetables!

I think Sunny Han's time has passed. You're better off going to panda express or the Albertsons/ Safeway Deli counter. The quality was that BAD. It literally provoked me to go online and write this review. I'm still trying to forget about that overly sweet, goopy sauce and soft, microwaved chicken. The texture is haunting me. ICK!

So me and my girlfriend were out and about and decided to stop for breakfast burritos. On our way back to our car we seen a sign for vietnamese iced coffee and went inside to try one. Only 1 elderly couple inside and it took us almost 20 minutes to get a coffee. The coffee was 4.50 and out of a 5 dollar bill I got 5 cents back. I've been looking at reviews and I'm glad I didnt order any microwave food I could get at Safeways frozen good section. You would probably get better food and service at the bar next door.

Sunny Hans is great takeout and a perfect fit for all our dietary needs. Plenty of gluten free options, a dn something for everyone-even the pickiest eater in our family. The only dilemma is which choice to make for entree!

This place is a joke. Ordered General Tso’s chicken and literally got a handful of deep fried chicken bites drenched in sweet chili sauce you can buy from the store.

I ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and the chicken was half-cooked and didn’t taste good at all. Very bad first experience.

I used to come here all the time in college and it would always hit the spot. I would even have some for later that night. Wow how things have changed went in for some tasty teriyaki got charged $35.70 for two meals and 5 potstickers. The teriyaki chicken and the firecracker chicken which is most definitely microwaved the texture of the chicken was weird and the sauce was like a mix between orange chicken and ginger very disappointed! On top of that we got like 4 pieces of teryaki chicken and a mountain loaf of rice. On top of that your served on paper plates! The food and quality has gone down tremendously. Do not waste your money here! There are so many other restaurants downtown Gresham check them out! I wish I did!

A complete disappointment and definitely not worth the drive or money. The honey teriyaki chicken was average but the sauce wasn't as good as it use to be. The sticky rice could have been stickier. The yakisobe noodles went straight into the trash. But the most abhorrent part was this place did not update their prices on their internet site menu. Prices have literally doubled and quality of food is way down which might explain why there was no one inside eating at 5pm. A real shame.

Nothing is cooked in a wok, the rice was watery, the chicken was boiled, and it had no flavor. We ate off of paper plates, and it felt like I was being served a school lunch. NOT REAL Chinese food.

Sunny has established a wonderful presence in downtown gresham. The food is consistent and delicious, and the staff are always prompt, friendly, and efficient. One of my go to places to eat out!

Really great people here as well as across the street, Cafe Delirium. Great stop for lunch in Gresham! Worth the couple minutes off of the main highway through town for some quality historic refurbished buildings and great quality service.

The food here is disgusting. I’m sorry paid for it. It was way too much for what was served. No flavor. Please go try anywhere else. You’d be better off.

We decided to come back and try Sunny Han’s after many years and were completely disappointed.

I understand that costs are up for many reasons, and I understand price increases, but quality is a must to truly justify the higher price.

This food was truly miserable! It was like a gelatin sauce, frozen chicken, disaster! The Chinese food inside of Safeway has a higher quality than this.

I don’t want to bash the place, but I do want to say that it is not a good look to serve terrible food on paper plates and charge $18.00 for it.

Many other restaurants have had to raise their prices, but their quality and customer experience wasn’t compromised in the process. Even short staffed places have added notes about wait time for food but it is worth the wait.

I am sorry Sunny Han’s, but this was a Kitchen nightmare!

Was very disappointed haven't been here since covid finally was hay lets give it a shoot. Honey teriyaki yummm. Ordered sorry we are out. Wtheck. Ordered orange chicken, white rice and veggies on the side. Got it and everything was on top of each other like slop. Really. The kid looked at me i said veggies on the side? Oh yah you want me to really nope! Guess i didn't wait long enough!

Horrible food, the owners are ripping off their loyal customers with expensive food, that has small portions, and an even worse taste. I have not seen inflation or gas prices affect other restaurants in downtown Gresham nearly as bad. Sunny Hans has really fallen in recent years and if these prices continue I don't see them being around for much longer.

Connor took my order, he has the best customer service. I was eating alone so I could hear his phone skills of taking an order, it was like he had been doing it for years, keep this employee! Excellent. The food always tastes fresh and is delicious and I have been dining there for many years, over 20!

Ordered honey-teriyaki beef with yakisoba noodles. The noodles were plain, squishy, and had an odd taste. The beef was kind of slimy, stringy, and oddly spongy. Very sad to toss out my entire dinner after one bite.

Both meals half cooked no service. We have patronized this establishment for over 15 years and NEVER has such
lousy food.

Pretty good generic Asian food it's not Thai or Japanese or even Chinese. What it is, is fairly tasty. Also the ambiance is relatively upscale considering the price.
