Restaurant Sunrise Cafe reviews
17 Haven't been to the cow bell in a few years.
I had the best chicken fried steak.
Still as of today I have not found one as good.
Hope the cow bell still make the chicken steak the same way not Frozen.
A great family diner! I got the meat lovers skillet and it was delicious. Loved the fried steak as well. I would highly recommend anyone start their adventures at rockaway with breakfast at sunrise cafe!
The food was alright but the service was F tier. Actually had to ask for silverware after I got my food and the waitress gave attitude when asked.
Eggs were burnt and my wife's eggs were fried so bad she couldn't eat it. Poor cooking and poor service. Would not go back.
1st- walking in the place smelled bad
2nd- there was some type of yellow fluid on the floor
3rd- the coffee tasted awful- in the sense that it was watered down (should of left by this time)
4th - The food was undercooked and tasted like it was from a stale old box.
5th- felt ill even after just tasting the food
I love supporting small businesses.
Had a spontaneous drive to the coast and I stopped here for some grub.
I love me some clam chowder and it was very good, hearty and tasty.
Wife grabbed a burger and she loved it along with the fries.
Other than a small staff today, I recommend the stop!
Perfect experience. Great food, great service and willing to service a family of 20 at closing time. Amazing owner and priced so reasonable
The super sweet gentleman refilling out coffee and water has the kindest warmest welcome. The waitress was so friendly and accommodating. The service was well worth the visit.
The sign on the building says “open 7 days a week” it is not. Banner on building says “dine in and Delivery” they do not deliver. Hours posted on Google not correct. Hours on Facebook are different and not correct. We are in town for business and they do not serve dinner and were not open Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Monday is posted as closed but not the other 2 days? Maybe they should take the time to accurately post there operating hours. Finally got to eat there food on Thursday and wish they had been closed so I would not have waisted my money. Not good food. Very greasy with no seasoning what so ever. Too bad because the Cowbell was pretty good for a small town cafe.
I see the response from Sunrise Cafe mentioned Covid as a reason for their restaurant issues. I find that kind of response unsettling and a convenient excuse. I have been to several other restaurants in and around Rockaway, leaving favorable reviews, and they all seem to have correct posted hours and services offered. I do understand having to modify your hours and services due to COVID. All businesses have, but Covid cannot be the reason for poor food or wrong business info (BTW, after all this your hours on Google were not corrected). As far as treating other restaurants this way, my reviews are based on my experience at the business I am reviewing and that’s all.
Great little cafe! The food was tasty and plentiful! The staff was very helpful and nice. We would definitely stop here again!
I ordered 3 hamburgers to go. There was about a 10 minute wait for them and then I was on my way. The food was very good and the people that served me were extremely friendly and accommodating.
We had a very nice breakfast on our last day in Rockaway Beach. Katelynn T.was a wonderful server - full of energy, friendly, and prompt. She appeared to be serving the entire dining room and was doing a great job helping everybody!
My wife and I both got the two eggs 2 bacon two sausage and two pancakes for breakfast. We could have easily shared one of them and not finished. The portions were huge. The bacon was delicious. Neither of us liked the sausage. The pancakes were as big as the plate, but bland.
Place to to go order and was told 15 to 20 minutes to make an omelet. They come back out after a 1/2 an hour and asked me what I had ordered again. Then had to wait even more time for them to actually make my food. No apology or anything to make it right
One of the best burgers I have tasted in a while. Very filling, they serve real beef and bacon, definitely worth the wait. I also liked the crispy coating on the fries. The waitstaff was nice. I'm glad that I stopped here and would recommend it to a friend.
Breakfast, 2 each, huge pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage delicious. We always share, bring leftovers home. Fish and chips a delicious, fries are one of a kind. Plus I was able to sign the Recall of our Governor!
Very tasty diner style breakfast. Excellent service and I appreciate how they have laid out their dining room to promote social distancing!
