Sweet Waters Family Restaurant & Lounge reviews
14Prime rib and the salads are great! However if you order the Mac and cheese for the kids at 8.00 each its just the cheap macaroni and cheese definitely not worth it! Our Kids didn't care for it much. We thought since it was so expensive it would be premium mac n cheese.
The amount of food you get for breakfast is awesome! It's like the good old days. Good selection on the menu. The staff is very friendly. You will see the owner, Joanie working with her staff. She is very friendly and truly lets you know she appreciates your business.
Breakfast at Sweet Waters is always good. They've recently extended their hours so we went for dinner. We got extraordinary service and the steaks were perfect. Could not have been a better experience.
Thought I'd take my girlfriend to this local spot I had heard of many times, but sadly expectations were not upheld. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp believing it would be a normal surf n turf with shrimp that is decent and not the same frozen, breaded, pre-deepfried boxed stuff they would make at a foster home. The shrimp were not buttered shrimp you'd have on a steak, but instead an onion ring had found it's way onto my sirloin. (the menu was unaware the onion ring would do such a thing. Neither was I.) When my “medium rare” steak arrived, it was mooing.i mean outside barely browned and the inside uncooked! I love a bloody steak, but this would've got me sick. I hate to be the guy to send it back, but I had to. The waitress was great about it, but when I got the same exact steak back a second time, it was practically meatloaf. It was well done and about as good as a burger patty you'd get at a JV high school football concession stand. When leaving, the cashier asked about our experience. After explaining just the one (of many) issue of my steak, (ignoring the flavorless prime rib) she just says “Oh you're the one who sent their steak back”. That prompted the $2 tip they got. At least it’s low grade enough to make you wander to the front door with a chicken-scratched check to watch them calculate the total in front of you, before running your card and having the audacity to ask for a tip for this overpriced, frozen hazard. Albany, Oregon isn't known for fine dining, but even here, there are many better options. Even the dinner roll and butter was ice cold, just like the service.
Always have a wonderful meal here. Their beef and veggie soup is delicious, the sweet water omelet is a hit, and the PIE. To die for.
Seems to cater to the more mature clientele but always good when I visit. And they cook eggs to the second it seems. Poached eggs medium-well? Impressive! Coffee always replenished
This place is such a cozy clean and friendly restaurant. Very friendly and joyous staff. They also carry some very good cheesecake from Beloved Cheesecakes which I adore as well.
The slot machines in the lounge room are very user friendly.just ask the bar server for the hot ones. The desserts are truly fantastic! Their dinner special are top notch! Their waiters take great care of your entire dinning experience!
Great food n not to expensive. Great attitude with staff. They always make you feel like family.
The chicken fried steak comes with the gravy under the steak, that's weird it should be on top of the steak, it comes with biscuits and gravy but it should be called rubber biscuits and gravy that was the worst biscuit I've had in many years but it was edible.
Food was not good. Gravy on hot turkey sandwich tasted terrible. My fiance had the Monte Cristo. Had tomatoes which I've never seen and seemed to just use a couple pieces of French toast to make it. Not a Monte Cristo. Unfortunately very disappointed
Excellent place for a family brunch. My family loves to gather here, good food, friendly attentive staff and warm environment. Don't be frightened off by the lounge, you don't even notice it from the inside of the restaurant and as I said it is a very warm and inviting restaurant.
First time trying this place and despite preconceptions it did not disappoint. We were seated after just a couple minutes and after a little time reviewing the menu our order was taken, the waitress even stepped through each set of choices instead of assuming we just knew or going with a set of defaults like so many others do. Prices are definitely on the higher end but the amount of food we got was well worth the price. Food also came out fast and warm, so fast we still hadn't finished our salads from the salad bar when it arrived. If you want diner/American style food I can definitely recommend them.
Good food. Staff was rude. Waitress kept calling me "lady" even though I'm a man. My voice is low and I don't look feminine at all so I honestly have no idea how the mistake was made. I corrected them but they still called me "lady" multiple times after. It felt like they were doing it on purpose after a while. Messed up our drinks as well. Staff was unattentive and rude. Don't think I'll be returning despite the good food.
