The guys in the yard are great: Always friendly and helpful. The ladies inside are the exception. Rude grouchy and assuming. They have no communication skills and it's like putting them off to even acknowledge customer presence. At least they're all consistent. Today they insulted themselves by doing their best to make me feel unwelcome (as usual) then wishing me a Merry Christmas as if they honestly had Christ in their hearts.
Unfortunately there are no other options in Central Oregon.

Been going there forever. They've supplied me with a lot of aluminum and steel over the years. Sheets, round bar, flat bar, tubing, hex rod. If you need it cut or sheared they can do that for you. You can get galvanized fence post of custom size from them. If they don't have the material in stock they can get it - quickly. The people running the front desk are friendly and knowledgeable. Don't worry if you're not sure about what it is you want or what it's called. They'll get it figured out for you.

I buy steel here only because there really isn’t any other choice in central Oregon. I have had nothing but poor experiences every time I go there. First of all there is no sense of urgency at all. The office staff gets very upset and rude if you just show up to get something without calling the order in and waiting for them to call you back when it’s ready. I understand this for material needing to be cut but however, I buy all of my materials in full length.

I own a water well drilling business and chose to buy some 6” steel well casing from them. I had them cut part of it into 10’ lengths hoping it would save me some time on the job. When I got the casing to the job and started to install it, I found that the cut ends were over 3/8” out of square, causing me more work and time to grind it back square.

Yesterday was the final straw with me. I called in an order of 5 20’ lengths of square tubing and a piece of channel. I showed up 3.5 hours later to pick it up and it hadn’t even been pulled. The warehouse guys acted like it was a huge inconvenience for them to actually have to do something.

All in all I will only do business with this company if it is an absolute necessity and even then I will try to find another solution before I do.

5 star service from the office to the "steelmen" who make it all happen it the yard.
