Szechuan House reviews
20I called in this order for pick up and was not disappointed. It was fresh and hot at pick up. Everything was so good and I was very pleased to see gluten free options on the menu! The gluten free orange chicken is delicious!
Yum! One of my all time favorite restaurants in the area. The sesame chicken/shrimp/beef are all time favorites, though everything I have tried here is delicious.
I ordered from here a couple of times now off Grubhub. Not 1 time has it disappointed.
Love the hot and sour soup.
Tried the pepper salted shrimp. It was ok.
Price is avg.
I will definitely order from here again.
I order vegetable chow mein with tofu very regularly from here. One of the only Chinese restaurants to offer tofu in the chow mein!
It tastes very fresh, vegetables have the perfect texture, and overall well seasoned. Sometimes can be a bit oily, but it's to be expected.
Best Chinese Food I've found in the area!
A bit outdated inside, but very welcoming employee (the only one we saw). Food was okay.enough to satisfy a craving, but I wouldn't travel out of my way to go to them.
Very disappointing considering the Google score is what lead us here. Orange chicked lacked flavor, sesame chicken was tough and chewy. The crab wotons had very little in them. Not sure if this was an isolated situation but won't be returning. For $40 we expected more. The only positive was the girl that took our order was nice.
This is my favorite Chinese takeout place in Portland that I've tried. I have several places closer that deliver and I still go out of my way to pick up from here. We frequently get sesame chicken, orange chicken, and general's chicken, and the crab wontons are delicious.
Food tasted so good. Service was excellent. Fun and quite place to eat. Prices were reasonable. We paid for 2 of our friends that we invited. They had a fun visit with us while we all ate togeater.
First time trying this place and was not disappointed! Food was fresh and very delicious, the dumplings were huge! We ordered the Szechuan noodles and General Tso's chicken.
Going on two decades to this place. Food is homemade in the kitchen using fresh ingredients. If you are every ill try the Won-ton Soup you will feel better within minutes. The only restaurant that reminds me of China Town in New York City.
I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. It was pretty good. Sauce had good flavor. Went well with the rice. Staff was very friendly. The decor and furnishings could probably use an upgrade.
We had a large group and there was a slight language barrier, but they got us everything we wanted and it was fast and I liked it a lot (but I think everyone's taste in Chinese food is different).
Very nice place with good service- the General Tsos chicken wasn't quite as good as Jimmy's but it was good. We'll be back!
I thought placing my order directly with the restaurant will be cheaper than ordering through GrubHub however I was Actually charged more For the same three items.
Updated to 4 stars due to the quick response and the food was good.
Been eating here since 07. Not sure what's going on, but there has been a steady decline in quality and flavor. Their food used to be Top Shelf. What happened? PLEASE Come back we need you
The employee was so rude; I believe she will miss a lot of customers because of that.
If she is not the owner, please ask her to be polite to the customer to make the business successful.
Service was excellent. Food is expensive. Bought a variety of things. The only thing worth mentioning is the egg flower soup - VERY good. Everything else was just okay.
Update: delivery no longer available.
Whether you eat in or have them deliver, you will be satisfied! Beef and broccoli, General Tso, and (my personal favorite) Szechuan chicken are always delicious! You can also ask for extra sauce!
Excellent food, since it was our first time in we ordered a bunch of different things. The salt and pepper chicken was the favorite, but everything was very good. The Szechuan chicken is like sweet and sour chicken (in terms of breading) but with a spicier sauce (no numbing Szechuan peppercorns, just slightly spicy). We also got the assorted appetizers and hot and sour soup. Will definitely be back to try more!
